"We were excited about our stay at Rice Lake! But the house had a few problems and it made our stay less enjoyable. The small A/C unit is located in the living room area and not in the bedrooms. So every night was hot, and unable to cool the rooms properly. Second problem was the washer failed on the 2nd day of our stay and the owners did not fix the problem. "This is a lovely cottage, beautiful views, great area. I do however have some things I wasn't happy with, mostly the beds. The beds were not comfortable, most of us did not sleep well. That to me is the whole point of renting a place to stay, is to sleep, if the beds aren't comfortable, I won't be coming back. Also, the place wasn't very clean. Every kitchen drawer and cupboard I opened definitely needed cleaning. The amount of dead bugs in the light fixtures was just gross to be honest. ...

"We had a lovely time at this cottage. It was very clean, all the kitchen things you need are provided, and it's right on the lake. The decks and dock were great spots to spend a weekend, and the bbq came in handy. It's close to a town too if you forget anything. Some downsides to note: There was a large tv, but unfortunately the wifi didn't really work, so keep that in mind if that's an important part of your stay. "This property comes as advertised Rustic and log cabin like but it is quite comfortable. The pool and hot tub are the stars of the show. The cottage has 6 separate bedrooms most of which are connected in an open concept manner. As with most cottages there are minor issues but our host and the local cottage caretaker were very responsive and took care of things. The pool deck is surrounded by a wooden deck with nice chairs and tables to lounge on. Town of Marmora is a 15 minute drive away and...

"We were 3 families in town for a wedding and it never felt crowded. King sized beds everywhere helped and they were comfy. Basement a fun place for the children and backyard space for games of tag. We enjoyed our stay."

"Our family greatly enjoyed our week staying in Watercombe. The waterfront is stunning and we frequently took out the kayaks to explore the bay. All amenities worked very well for us. One note for anyone staying longer (we stayed for a full week) would be that trash and recycling have to be driven out to the main road on collection day and there is not an outdoor bin to store a trash should you generate more than one bag."
