"The house is located on top of a hill surrounded by beautiful countryside. The owners who live next door were very kind and helpful. There are only two houses on that hill. They are totally isolated, and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. The house is well equiped with everything you need. We spent a lovely week. Château de la Roche is worth a visit, as well as Lyon easily reachable by train from Tarare a town half an hour away from the gîte. ."

"Claudette gets top marks for responsiveness and helpfulness. The cottage is deep in the countryside with beautiful walls in the fields and woods all around. We made friends with the cows, the crickets and birds. Exactly what we needed from our holiday. The little village which it’s close to has a friendly cafe and the closest town, Cluny, is one of the most charming and authentic little Burgandy towns I’ve visited. "Well equipped, tastefully decorated, comfortable. Plenty of storage for cases and accessories. Beds very comfortable, great shower! Good secluded patio area with plenty of seating and the benefit of a small pool. Off road, safe and secure parking. Good WiFi. Area excellent for touring the Beaujolais region with great local road connectivity. Our warm and friendly hosts were more than generous leaving wine and basic provisions for a few breakfasts. "Belle propriété, de superbes installations MAIS propriétaire trop présent : il s'est permis d'entrer dans la villa sans raison quand bon lui semblait que l'on soit là ou non, plusieurs fois par jour, pour observer tous nos faits et gestes. Il y a un gardien qui lui est très discret et c'est son travail de s'occuper de la villa (fleurs, piscine, ..). Pour le jacuzzi, aucune explication claire et si on se trompe on est privé de jacuzzi (fermeture inopinée de la porte malgré qu'on le paye). À part...

Enjoyable stay at this Beaujolais chateau hotel

"A lovely location, with wonderful views over the vineyards. A pity their check-in was only at 4pm, but they got us a room finally at about 3.45 Restaurant was high quality, traditional French, but would have been better if they also had a simple French bistro. Nowhere else to eat within walking distance. We enjoyed using the on-site electric bikes, and their liked winery has a very well laid out tasting room."
