Absolutely love this area. My only complaints are the walls at lodge are paper thin and we could clearly hear the guy in the room next to us snoring and not a ton of reasonably priced meal ootions

"We enjoyed our stay at the Elk House and would come back again. It’s a great house and such a peaceful area. We didn’t see any elk, sadly, but enjoyed spending mornings and evenings on the porch. Gatton falls was an easy hike. Merriman Falls was even more spectacular and it is right off of the road. Don't miss the largest spruce tree next to the property.

The Mercantile is nothing like it used to be. The owner was rude. We will only use the rainforest site from now on.
