"View of Arenal volcano is wonderful "

"What a GEM of a hotel! Even better than the pictures. The grounds are so beautiful with lots of flowering plants. We saw a Toucan and 3 Sloths! The Staff was very helpful with spotting the Sloths plus Coffee tour and restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was fantastic! We only had two nights here but wished we had a longer stay. Incredible value. My favorite part was sitting outside the room with my binoculars looking at a large Sloth that stayed in the same spot our whole stay! Also nice to be able to walk everywhere. Highlight of our Costa Rica adventure. "

"Pros: amazing view of the volcano (we stayed in #4 and when we stepped out the door, the view was incredible), friendly and helpful staff, the farm (lots of farm animals and activities fun for everyone but esp for kids) and organic garden (not an official tour, but we got to meet the gardener in charge and he showed us around), individual bungalows that are generously sized, body lotion & even natural bug repellent lotion in the rooms, hot springs (small but was never crowded), animal sightings (sloth, lots of birds), reasonably priced stuffed animals they sold ($30 for a sloth my son wanted. At another store, the same one was $42!), centrally located to reach many activities without long drives, quiet, comfortable beds. Cons: Not a huge con, but breakfast (included) wasn't that yummy. We did appreciate the fresh juice and fruits provided, however! Pool wasn't as beautiful/exciting, but it was also ok with us since we didn't spend that much time there. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised with our experience and would stay here again/recommend to others"

"We stayed here 4 days, had a lovely junior suite, very large room and bath with private outdoor space surrounded by plants so felt very private. We enjoyed doing things in the Fortuna area and spending 1-2 hours in the hot springs pools each day. Night was very pretty with the colored lights on the pools and less people than during the day. Staff very helpful, including one who would give us rides in the golf cart back to our suite which was at the far wnd of property. Only issue were the dining options. We liked the included breakfast buffet very much, but thought the bar food and the two restaurants were only so-so. "
