We were looking for a hotel close to Manuel Antonio Park and Quepos, and this looked nice online. The room was fairly stark, however, and dated. Cleanliness was so-so, and initially it did not appear to have AC, though we found there was a unit in the closet(!). The bathroom was adequate, except there were 3 windows, and 2 of them were open screen. The bed was a low platform bed, very firm, and the television a small CRT type, but the reception was so bad it was academic. There is avery nice garden area and the pool was ok, clean, but rapidly losing tiles. The people (especially Christina) were very cordial and helpful, though, and the food was very good. Not a bad experience, really, and we were not expecting luxury conditions, but it felt a little shabby and down at the heels. The surrounding area seemed a little gritty, even a bit frightening, but proved safe when all was said and done.
