"This was an older property with quaint charm on a high bluff with wonderful views of the water. We really liked this hotel and would definitely stay there again. Comfortable beds, decent quality linens, nice breakfast and good value for money. No elevator but someone on hand to carry bags."

"We stayed two nights and had a wonderful experience. The room was nice and comfortable and the view from our second floor room was breathtaking. We also really enjoyed and appreciated the breakfasts! The staff was friendly and accomodating. We arrived after dark tired from a long day of traveling and were greeted warmly. When we conveyed that we'd had no dinner the receptionist shared her dinner with us. That kind and generous gesture was certainly unexpected and absolutely delightful! ...

"The style and Chilean art and local wool covers made this hotel unique The comfort of the room and the variety of foods provided was a pleasant environment to unwind. The owner of the hotel was on site and gracious and helpful to us . The concierge, Christian was helpful and ever so thoughtful to our needs. Would return on a heartbeat."

"Gorgeous view, nice service and delicious breakfast. My overall rating is based on super thin walls and ceiling. We were on the main level and had neighbors upstairs who went to bed past midnight. We could hear the shower running, toilet flushing, steps and conversations as if they were inside our room. Rooms are pretty tight and need updating. "

"The ocean veiw is spectacular. The hotel is built over and adjacent to an old fort. The staff is helpful and attentive."

"We had an amazing stay at Alma Chilota. It was one of our favourite accommodations in all of Chile. It is a palfito with a charming breakfast room/lounge and our room had a wonderful view of the water. It was beautifully decorated and well located to visit the tourist sites. We were sorry to leave and would love to return. We highly recommend this exceptional property!"
