Our Tuscan dream
The property is amazing! It is situated on an olive grove with plum, apple and cherry trees. The views are spectacular from the pool area and from your bedroom window in the early morning. There were 6 us staying at the villa and it provided ample space and everything we needed. It is just outside the small town of Quarrata which has grocery store, amazing coffee/pastry shop and pizzerias. Moreno was a fabulous host. He was helpful and always available for any questions we had. In fact he came and met up with us in town on our first evening as we had trouble finding the location and led us to his place. The highlight of our stay was the evening with the 2 chefs and Moreno enjoying cooking and laughter. An amazing end to our stay.

Perfect Tuscan stay!
Moreno’s villa could not have been more ideal. It was easy to access, private but close to town and everything you need. The surroundings are gorgeous with beautiful views, landscaping and gorgeous sunsets. The cooking class and dinner that he arranged for us with two lovely ladies from Lucca was the highlight of our entire trip. We will remember it always. We highly recommend this beautiful, historic villa and say “Grazie mille, Moreno!!”

Nice home and countryside
We stayed for 4 nights. The home was spacious with great views. Everything worked and AC in bedrooms and 1st floor kept us very comfortable. You really should have a car for this home or be comfortable with walking and public transport. It's a tram and bus from the train station which was about 1 hr. 15 min. The grocery has all of your needs, kitchen detergents and toiletries that will be needed. Moreno is a kind and responsive host. He left fruit for us and the kitchen has a few seasonings. We love the area.

Perfect Tuscany Villa
Great time had by all at this lovely Villa just outside of Florence. Away from the city yet still close to popular attractions. Quarrata is a lovely town, equipped with a market, pizzarias, had a lovely hilltop dinner for our anniversary. Three kids (9, 13, 15) loved the pool area. Pool and grounds nicely kept. Moreno was a wonderful host; came to our rescue immediately when our son accidentally locked us out of the property and he was not frustrated at all. Definitely recommend this villa full of charm and character.

Incredible central location in Tuscany
My daughter and I had the great pleasure of spending July and August of 2021 in Moreno’s charming villa in Quarrata. This beautiful medieval villa has been updated with all modern amenities. Completely private, you’ll share the property with the landlord and another couple who have separate driveways for a nice mix of privacy and security. Quarrata is a working town but a fantastic central point. We took easy day trips to Cinque Terre, Ravenna, Modena, Pisa, Arezzo, Siena, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Bologna and more. Could easily have gone to Venice if we’d wanted and only 2,5 hours from Rome. Needless to say we practically lived in Florence, whose tram stop was only about a 20 minute drive away. The villa is well-appointed, Quiet and clean with AC in every room. There were a few mosquitoes (all over Tuscany) but they were easy to avoid. The pool is a little old but it suited our purposes well and Moreno kept it well tended. In fact, Moreno was the MOST delightful and helpful host and we found many local treasures at his suggestion —including our best meal of the summer and a beautiful local swimming hole that was, as he said, the place of fairies. Moreno was so kind to us, bringing us fruit from his trees and even local pastry and checking in on me when I had a minor traveling injury. We absolutely loved our stay and I’m confident you will too!! Thank you, Moreno!!!

Wonderful property in beautiful surroundings
This property is an ideal hub for exploring Florence and surrounding areas. Moreno provided us with plenty of suggestions of places to visit, where to eat and things to see and do during our 2 week stay. Thank you Moreno for being a great host. Would highly recommend this property for anyone looking to visit the area.

Outstanding in every way!
The property was beautiful, clean and better than the pictures! The house has an air conditioner in every room. Plenty of room for guests: kids and adults. It provides a large dinning area and living area yet space upstairs for privacy. The house is beautifully restored and has all the amenities: full kitchen, 2 full baths and 1 half bath, 3 bedrooms with storage, laundry, a gorgeous fireplace for winter and games. We taught our son to play Monopoly: the Italian version. The pool and outdoor eating area is picturesque overlooking the Tuscan hillside. Moreno was delightful, informative and helped us get settled into Tuscan life. He even took us to the grocery store and taught us how to maneuver the Italian grocery. We cooked often and returned to the store on our own with no problems. He was helpful by providing day trips, restaurants and general information but not intrusive. The house location is perfect for many sites including Florence, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, Siena, and beach areas. It's an easy 40 minute trip into Florence for train trips to Rome, Venice and elsewhere in Italy. Quarrata is a quaint, non-tourist town that welcomes visitors, has fun shopping, cozy restaurants, great pizza, a wonderful bakery and fantastic gelato. Already planning our next trip!!!

The villa was perfect for six adults, plenty of living space. Well renovated and with lots of charm.
Moreno, the owner, responded to emails quickly and was attentive to our personal requests. Moreno was extremely helpful with providing ideas for half or full day excursions. We requested a cooking class and Moreno recommended two women from Lucca to cook with our family - a highlight of our trip. The location of the villa is between Florence and Lucca which provided a convenient, central location for our daily excursions to Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Greve, Monteriggioni, Siena and Cinque Terra.

Authentic Tuscan Home for Relaxing
My husband and I spent eight wonderful days in this beautiful house set in the hills above Quarrata. The owner has lovingly restored this property, keeping its original charm, while adding all the modern amenities. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, with AC that is quiet, yet effective. The kitchen is well-equipped although we didn't do much cooking. The owner has separate living quarters in the back part of the house, but all is very private. He is helpful when needed, like the time we accidentally locked ourselves out! The location of the house is ideal, just a five minute drive to the center of town, but a quiet and tranquil spot surrounded by olive trees. The outdoor terrace is a perfect place to relax, with a covered dining area and a tiny pool to cool off in. We loved the Pasticcheria in the Piazza Risorgimento and also the little pizza place in the same square. This is not a "tourist" destination, but an easy drive to many charming sites. Perfect spot for our needs!

Fabulous Home and Wonderful Host
Moreno Rossi's home in Quarrata was a wonderful 10-day experience for my family and friends group of 6. Plenty of room and what a space it was: many centuries old home with frescoes, mammoth fireplace indicating time and space of construction, incredible garden with beautiful views, nice pool, peace and quiet. Nearby Pistoia, Florence 40 min away - beautiful Tuscan villa experience. Host was generous and kind, most informative, and always available for questions. Terrific visit - highly recommended.
