"A special place. So tasteful in everything from linen robes to the soaps and lotions to the homemade jam in the morning. And the soaking tub outside - and outside shower - are bonuses. The view is spectacular. Plenty of lanterns give light. You don’t even realize you are off the grid! "

"We enjoyed a very relaxing stay in the lovely appartment. Max and Steve are super hosts!They are very respectful of the guests' privacy, open to questions and happy to share a chat with a good sense of humor. The garden is lovely to walk in or to sit and watch the animals and the surroundings. The dogs, Bailey and Digby, are great friends, well behaved, obedient and sociable. We were guests for three nights and would have liked to stay for a month."

"Great location, close enough to dip into Chch if wanted, but perfectly positioned to enjoy all North Canterbury has to offer, with wineries, rivers and beaches, a stones through away. Positioned in the heart of a friendly community with plenty of Cafe and dinning options within walking distance. Loved the private deck and backyard along with the bonus of the pool table for some friendly family competition. Highly recommend - great character!"
