The beautiful Florida sunshine filters in through the windows and French doors which open to the fabulous, private backyard and the house's wrap around decks. A 10 min walk/2 min drive from Colorful Cottage will set you in the heart of the city where you'll have the options of hamburgers, woodfire pizza, southern cooking, and fresh seafood!
SPEND TIME IN THE WATERFRONT PARKS: Just one lot away from Colorful Cottage is the expansive, 11 acre, GILCHRIST PARK. This park spans from downtown to Fisherman's Village (Colorful Cottage is perfectly placed right between the two). Enjoy sweeping views of Charlotte Harbor, public pickleball, tennis, and basketball courts, a fishing pier, picnic pavilions, gazebo, playground, walking path, a YMCA sailing school, and open green space. Just beyond downtown you'll discover LAISHLEY PARK which spans 17 acres and features a 400-foot fishing pier, Veterans Park, a waterfront restaurant, walking paths, and an outdoor concert area.
PEACE RIVER WILDLIFE CENTER: A rehabilitation haven for native Florida rescued birds creates a magnificent opportunity for nature lovers to observe and learn. Consider partaking in one of their educational tours, then walk on the boardwalk through the mangroves, and visit the giftshop.

Eaglewood Beach is never overly crowded and is a great location for spotting birds, dolphins, sea turtles, and other wildlife. Visit to enjoy some shelling and then enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants within walking distance.
