"My family include a 9 and 11 year old just returned from a an incredible visit to Cartagena including 2 nights at Coralina Island. This was one of our trip highlghts. You can swim and snorkle in the clear blue waters just a jump from your designated beach chairs. Each guest is assigned or a semi-private sunny spot during their visit. Everything felt very safe. We'd swim and splash leaving our bags at our beach chairs with the utmost confidence all was secure. The frozen drinks were on point and the food was delicious. The lunch and dinner menu are the same. After several days we repeated meals but with zero complaints as the food was delicious. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The remote-factor is what makes this destination epic but with that comes more primitive accommodations. This isn't a big deal as you rarely spend time in your bungalow. We'd absolutely recommend this hotel to our friends and return in the future. To be able to snorkel in such calm and protect waters at your leisure is a perfect beach vacation. we also enjoyed the iguanas, talking parrots, including Lorenzo and the 3 dogs belonging to the property. "Beautiful island but bathroom are shared with other guests electricity and water is only available at certain times. The hotel served food but you had to order in advance and the food was served at a certain time. Kayaks were only rentable at a certain time as well. I would not recommend to stay here"

"The property is clean and well maintained. The staff were professional, courteous, helpful, and responsive to most any reasonable request. There was a nice selection of meals and the food was prepared well. Now that there are different menus for those choosing the inclusive meal plan or the breakfast only plan. A variety of activities are available such as kayaking or paddle boarding. There is a small protected beach and a saltwater swimming pool. You can also swim in the open cove. Boats can be hired to visit the other nearby islands or go snorkeling. The island is walkable during the day. The are several other resorts within easy walking or kayak distance that you're free to visit to expand some activities or meet other people. We spent 3 days that were relaxing but not boring."

"We had a very good time here. They take many steps to make you comfortable and feel at home. Emma greeted us every meal with a smile, Erling, Pedro and other servers take care of every need they can see, and the food was very good. At the bar they let us try some local fruit (Lulo, which we had never heard of) and Osvaldo was extremely helpful and enjoyed practicing English with us, which was our pleasure since we were practicing Spanish. We only speak a little Spanish, and Estefany was fantastic for helping us in English with more complicated questions. We stayed in a Deluxe Bungalow and it was quiet. Overall it was a fairly quiet place, which is what we were looking for. The phytoplankton tour was amazing and our favorite. The jellyfish tour as pretty good. The snorkeling was not as good as other places we have been, but still worthwhile for the price. If you are a little adventurous you can visit the staff accommodation area where there are a couple of pigs and some turtles. There is a very nice man, one of the maintenance men, who takes care of the animals. If you are even more adventurous you can visit the village on the other side of the island, where some staff live, which we did and were greeted nicely there also. "Although Mucura is a bit out of the way from Cartagena, it is completely worth the visit. The waters are pristine, the coral national park is a must-see for snorkeling/scuba enthusiasts, and the island is a great, relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Mucura Club hotel employees were very kind and helpful; the rooms very clean, and the environment well kept. Would highly recommend!"
