Pros: Lots of food options. If you don't like something, then you must be a VERY picky eater. Staff is very friendly. There are plenty of beach chairs available, even during a busy season. Close to the airport. Cons: There's many people trying to sell you stuff on the beach. I'm not sure if the hotel can do anything about it. The pool area is very slippery. I saw more than one person fall, no major injuries, but it's a safety hazard.

We experienced a serious security breach during our stay in the resort. Upon returning to our room on the last day, we discovered an unauthorized person inside. This breach of security is deeply unsettling, especially as we were checking out that day. We also learned that two other rooms experienced similar breaches within the same week, which were not acknowledged by the staff. Although we were offered a future upgrade, this is not useful to us, as we will not be returning within the next 12 months. We requested a refund for one night's stay as compensation, but this was declined.

Terrible Experience – Avoid at All Costs I had an absolutely horrible experience at this place and would not recommend it to anyone. The food was inedible—so bad that I wouldn't even feed it to my dogs. Management was completely unhelpful and unavailable. Anytime I asked to speak with a manager, I was told they were either in a meeting or simply not available. The situation became even worse on New Year's night when I had to take a cab to a restaurant in an unfamiliar area at 9:30 PM just so my kids could have a meal. We were stuck there for a week because we had no other options, but we ended up checking out a day early when Delta was able to fly us out. Please take my advice and avoid this place to save yourself the frustration and disappointment. BOOKED THROUGH EXPEDIA FROM DECEMBER 26th- JANUARY 2nd 2025

Horrible customer service . The rooms dirty, fin in was a scam saying all restaurants were booked yet you tiples them and miracously they would find a table. In the beach the workers are full of scams . Do not recommend it .

We had the best vacation ever! A lot food, a lot food options, I loved each party they did for Christmas and we year celebration, plus Santa brought gifts to our Doughter! The best place to stay in punta cana so far. We travel around the world and this is the first hotel who gave us the real reason to come back again

The building I was in was quite unsafe. There were no lights at all in our hallway or stairs going up to the third floor at night. It was very dangerous and when it rained, it was very slippery they have no elevators. The rooms are quite old they were done construction across from my building and every morning at 7 o’clock they would start and wake me up when I was on vacation. A lot of the staff was very rude. The beach was nice and the pool was good. They didn’t have a very good gym.

Catalonia hotel es una propiedad con buen ambientey familiar mucho turismo europeo la cual influye en los buffets! La comida le doy un 3 de 5 porque no habia muchas opciones disponibles y todos los dias daban lo mismo. El alcohol es de baja calidad pero pues. De los restaurantes tematicos el asiático y el español fue el mas q nos gusto. Es un hotel para descansar y nada mas. Al staff le doy un 20 de 10 muy amables! Doy puertorriquena pero las opcione de este hotel es mas para europeos!
