"This hotel is an excellent choice! Do not get the two `Scandic Grand` hotels confused as I did, it involved a bit of extra walking (my fault) The hotel is very convenient to the Viking Line terminal. It has a gym and sauna which was enjoyable. Very good room and helpful staff although the front desk can get backed up from time to time. "

"Hotel Helka has everything you could want for a comfortable stay in Helsinki. The breakfast buffet is excellent, and there is a fridge and microwave available to guests. Getting into town is walkable via the old railway line which runs along the middle of the street, or there are frequent trams which stop nearby. The bar is a quiet but friendly space to hang out in the evening after a busy day. The best thing though is the sauna 🤗 free to use mornings and evenings. Highly recommended."

"Areas around central station are always with tons of mixed types of people. It's a trade off for the convenience. Did not feel unsafe through my stay. Definitely not the same as uptown accommodations."
