"Lovely old house with beautifully renovated large rooms. Set on a hill at the back of the village overlooking the countryside beyond. Not much outdoor space, but a nice seating area at the front & rear of the house for outdoor dining, etc. Great location for exploring the Soča valley, with pleanty of local walks & river swimming opportunities. "We booked two rooms at the Casa Griunit only to find that the description on the hotels.com Website had been misleading. The Casa Griunit doesn’t offer rooms, each unit is actually an apartment. The apartment would have had sleeping space for four people with a bedroom and a sofabed downstairs, but we wanted two separate rooms for our 5-day stay. Luckily, this was resolved to our complete satisfaction by the owner and hotels.com staff. The apartments each had a lovely, spacious bedroom upstairs...

"At first, it was strange that I was informed that my reservation was canceled, and that the room was different from the room described at the time of reservation. The owner only spoke Italian. However, when I arrived at the room, it was surprisingly comfortable with all the facilities. It was smaller than expected, and we had to use a double bed for 3 people, but overall we were satisfied. The wine they make is very good and worth the trip just for that alone."
