"There was an ungodly amount of rules at this property. So much so that we left the last two nights and booked a resort instead. There were a good amount on the listing, but I just figured the owners must have been taken advantage of in the past, so they are super firm upfront. The first thing they ask you to do, which most places also ask, is that you read the rule book. But holy moly, the rules are out of control. One example: "NO MARCO POLO. ITS ANNOYING." No slime, no play doh, no loud noises...

"Beyond perfect. Did I enjoy falling asleep to the lovely sounds outside our cottage or waking to those same sounds in the morning. We slept like rocks. The king size bed was delicious. "During my time in Maui it was a work trip and Johns property was the perfect spot to relax and recharge after a long days of work and adventure. The location was far enough to where there was no noise from the city but close enough to where it wasnt a burden to get to the beaches and stores. Will definitely stay again and recommend."

"Pros: The home was spacious, conveniently located and accurate to the listing photos. We appreciated that the host provided shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathroom. The two chilled bottles of water in the fridge were also a nice touch. Cons: There was a surprising amount of noise from the road (cars speeding, blasting music and a few fireworks). The bathroom and bedroom doors were also tricky to close. The floors were dirty when we arrived."

"We had a fantastic stay at Pam’s Treehouse. She made us feel like at home from when we arrived. Pam is passionate about the island and we were amazed by her story. We were amazing by how well stuffed her place is from the water filter to the aftersun and antifog for the snorkel masks. We hope to come back in the future!"

"You can tell Robert and Stephanie take great pride in their VRBO and make sure their guests have a positive experience. This cottage is in a nice quiet neighborhood in Haiku with pretty landscaping and fruit trees abound. We enjoyed the lychee and grapefruit during our time. The kitchen is well stocked for any needs and they also leave some breakfast and snack items with coffee upon arrival. It’s a perfect home base to go exploring all the things to do on Maui, especially with The Road to Hana....

"This was perfect for everything my wife and I wanted for our honeymoon stay in beautiful Maui. The owners have many accommodations on the property that we felt went above and beyond expectation. The short walk to the beach was perfect for sunset viewing, hanging with the turtles, and more! Shops, restaurants, etc., are all within walking distance from the property and super convenient. Can’t recommend this place enough! "

"Nice place with good location. However, my son missed his morning coffee since there was none. In the bathroom, there was only a bar soap. For the price paid, would expect some standard amenities. We would have liked if Ray’s Cat gave us some space and privacy to enjoy the patio for our prayer and breakfast."
