Summary/ Welcome to Green Turtle Cottage, a newly renovated, colorful and modern, rural refuge designed for your Far North journey. Guests enjoy high quality kitchenware and essentials for group dining, quality beds and linens, a large deck, bbq, parking for cars and boats, Starlink (satellite) internet, and a convenient location en route to Cape Reinga, close to the local shop and cafes. Full Description/ Green Turtle Cottage is a charming newly renovated vintage cottage with a fresh, spacious, and light feel. The kitchen is equipped with high quality kitchenware and essentials for group dining. The bedrooms have Innature brand products for excellent support and comfort. There is beautiful warm lighting throughout. We have curated this rural refuge with playful and colorful decor inspired by the sea for your delight and comfort. There are two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lovely workspace, and open floor plan living, dining, and kitchen with veranda doors that open out to a large deck with outdoor tables and BBQ. Walk out the door for a 40 min walk to Houhora Heads Harbor or drive 2 min. The cottage has plenty of parking for cars and boats and a fishing station behind a two car garage. We have Starlink (satellite) internet which is a consistent and powerful connection, perfect for remote work. The first bedroom has a queen bed with mattress by Innature, a New Zealand brand designed for organic/natural support and comfort, and an attached bathroom. Most bedding is 100% cotton in both bedrooms. The second bedroom is larger with a King bed, including an Innature topper, for support and comfort. There are closets and hanging space in both bedrooms. On the exterior deck is an outdoor dining table, large picnic table, hammock, BBQ, bench, shade sail, and umbrella. Around the cottage is open land, avocado trees, and some large palms. Views include the peaceful rural setting around the house, beautiful sunsets on the deck, and the most amazing starry sky. We hope to provide you with a perfect refuge for your Far North journey, with easy access to Houhora Harbor, pristine east coast beaches, 90 mile beach, and Cape Reinga. Green Turtle is also very well set-up for long-term remote work stays. Conveniently located close to local shops and cafes and en route to the Cape.
