I liked the staff and activities. I stayed in VIP we did not receive any extra benefits. Did not know what benefits were available. No information! We had 3 other rooms with family members on the upper floors they seemed to have more. We had no orientation when we checked in had no idea what VIP service was. We came for family vacation but the Italian restaurant is adult only. All children love Italian! Secrets is the adult only why does Dreams have to have an adult only!!!! Send adults over to Dreams. That limited our dining options. The music going all the time. Need to have a couple of quiet times during the day!!! Tables at the poolside lunch buffet would be better. We all had a great time the recreation staff were great! Very clean and friendly staff!

When I got to the hotel I needed to add a second person to the room. They gouged me on the price and only agreed to a refund after two days worth of negotiating. The receipt they wrote out had the wrong persons name on it and I didn’t think anything of it but then when I tried to get a print out of the charges at checkout they refused and said a receipt would come via Expedia (it didn’t and I still haven’t gotten the refund on my credit card). I told the concierge “no thank you” when he tried to talk to me about “extras” at the hotel. He got so mad that he chased me through the hotel and demanded my name and room number. They staff all take your food and drinks that you’re still working on without asking. The place is pretty but I’d never stay there again.

It was tough having our 7 month there because I needed hot water which took an hour with room service everytime. We asked for one load of laundry and it was $90. Staff were super friendly. 3/5 restaurants were good, drinks very sugary. Rooms very outdated. Overall not bad, but we would go elsewhere next time.

This is our second stay at this resort & I would have to say whilst the resort is still very nice it feels a little run down for the price of staying here. We had a junior swim out suite suite & the first room we were given had a faulty sliding door that could not be secured (& looked like it had been like that for some time) & the spa bath inside the room was also broken. The pool temperature was quite cold & hence rarely used. Our mini bar was filled on the day we arrived & only then again on the day before we checked out (we stayed 7 nights) & the food in the restaurants (apart from the food at the Buffet) was pretty disappointing. On the positive side, we had great service from lots of the staff & the NYE event put on by the resort was outstanding.

I consider myself well travelled so have solid all inclusive experience in Mexico. We paid extra for preferred tower and it was subpar! The lounge area sucked, the food choices were small, even their coffee station was weak. The lounge area was not well thought out. Not enough comfortable seating, loud, un-inviting. The pools are were underwhelming. Seating sucked. Pool towels smell like mold and the food was terrible. Absolutely terrible. Here’s what’s good. The workers are kind, all the way around. The beach is pretty and the location of the hotel is not far from the airport. Stay here if you want to be hungry and spend your days is messy pools and stinky towels and most definitely don’t pay for their preferred tower. It’s a complete waste of your money!

We liked that it was close to downtown Puerta Vallarta. The size of the property was perfect. Entertainment during the day and evening were great as was the food and service. Everybody was very friendly. The only thing we didn’t like was that the multiple weddings took away space for the paying guests to enjoy the sun tanning beds.
