"Our room was well designed and comfortable, four poster bed with a great private terrace and lovely views of the old town. The hotel itself is well located and appointed with a good bar and lovely breakfast room. Just an observation and not a criticism, the light fittings are positioned to low and there are some repairs and new furnishings required to bring things to the highest standard. "

"We have been staying in this price level throughout Andalusia and the quality of this room was by far the best. Fancy bed and fancy mini balcony overlooking gorgeous pool setting. Felt like a fancy hotel and when you are looking to save money,that is not usually expected by us. Room was smaller than most. I would say that the shower situation is not safe for someone afraid of falling or with mobility issues because it’s a bathtub you have to step into and it is slippery with no mats. Fine for most but I’d have been terrified to have my 86 yr-old mother use it had she been with us (for example). Can’t verify if every room is this way. "

"Arcos is a peculiar hotel located atop a cliff on the highest part of town. Do not try driving on the towns narrow streets. Call the hitel and get directons to the remote parking area. Beautiful town and many bars and restaurants to choose. "

"We would definitely stay here again. We found most of the previous reviews were pretty accurate. If you have a small enough car, you can drive to apartment, but it is not for the faint of heart. Otherwise it’s a simple 5 min walk (or less). The pool and the views were amazing. We found the town to be very nice without a lot of visitor traffic but good food and a few small stores. Nice mirador worth the 20 min walk. We did it for sunrise. The care taker was VERY helpful and responsive. "
