Elegant and luxurious two level condo with: 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, fully equipped large designer kitchen, large balcony, wifi, cable, central a/c and screens throughout if you prefer to enjoy the ocean breeze.

Great Vacation Stay
San Marino at Playa Dorada is a beautifully maintained and secure resort. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the entire property, including the nearby private beach, is very clean and pleasant. The apartment itself is very large and beautiful with everything you could conceivably need for cooking and/or grilling on the terrace, as well as dining/entertaining. The master bedroom and bath is luxurious (although closet space could be better) while the second upstair bedroom is charming - perfect for kids or teens. WiFi is spotty within the apartment (but many would consider this a good thing); however, a short walk to the pool brings good reception. The owner, Cindy, was very attentive to our needs and offered excellent advice on shopping, excursions and the like. All in all, an excellent vacation home for a family or couples.

Great location and a wonderful owner
We had a wonderful time at the condo. The people at the complex were so nice and very helpful. The pictures of the place are accurate. Cindy was great. We had our flight cancelled and Cindy let us stay an extra day, and she arranged for us to go to a wonderful restaurant on Valentine's Day. I would differently recommend this property to my friends. The security was excellent and the beach bar was nice too. Mary makes a great pina colada, and she was very helpful with any questions that we had. Nesmyna drove us to the grocery store and to one of the restaurants. She also was very nice. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I can't say enough about the awesome time that we had. The only problem that we encountered was the lack of pay phones in the area. Next time we will make sure that we have a phone that will work in the DR. The residents said that they were sorry to see us leave. Can't wait to visit again.

Relaxing, Relaxing, Relaxing!
The entire experience was wonderful. My husband and I just needed a get away to relax. The booking was easy, arrival was smooth, the rental was perfection. The week was exactly as we wanted it- Relaxing, stress free, and overall a beautiful time. We would recommend this over and over to friends and family, and have put it in our to-do for our vacation next year!

Amazing Vacation Home!!!!
What a Gorgeous development we had the pleasure of staying in! The interior of Cindys condo we rented was equally beautiful with great decore! We were pleased with its cleanliness! Thoroughly enjoyed the outside balcony/grill area as well as the lovely open floor plan of the living room/dining/kitchen. If we needed to contact the owner about anything she was readily accessible. The staff at this place was super nice. And even when we had issues they were very prompt in trying to resolve them or make us as comfortable as possible. The Laundry service & Option of having a personal chef was Awesome & both at Fantastic prices! Again Beautiful condo very modern & not far from pool or beach! We felt very safe here. If we come to Dominican Republic in the future we'll gladly stay here again!!!

Fabulous
The fabulous relaxing condo made my trip to Puerto Plata twice as nice. The pictures do not do justice to the condo it is even nicer in person. The unit has all the creature comforts you need in order to have a comfortable retreat and a leisure vacation. Cindy the owner is a text away at all times and is available to provide information regarding recommendations, transportation, or anything else you may need. The one drawback is the wifi did not work inside of the unit however, connectivity worked well on the balcony which is also well furnished. Guarantee, if you rent this unit you will not be dissapointed.

The San Marino experience
April 2015, we just finished two months at San Marino residences in Playa Dorada, Puerto Plata. It was the best long term condo rental anyone could ever experience in the Dominican Republic. The three bedroom Condo was spacious bright, clean, with up to date appliances and was well stocked with plenty of houseware items. The living room had sectional seating on-looking a large patio. Flat Screen televisions were provided in the living room and all bedrooms. Plenty of fresh linens and towels were provided and an onsite cleaning and laundry service was at our disposal making our stay even more enjoyable. This was our first long term stay through the winter months. The condo owner Cindy, took all of the concerns about this sort of stay away from us. She provided all the information and assistance we needed. Any question we posed was answered timely and in detail. Knowing that we had a go to person at every step of the way was a great comfort to us. The grounds, pool and reception area were beautiful and very well maintained. The staff was very helpful and understanding, making us feel welcomed. We felt very safe at all times at San Marino as well as the Playa Dorada complex. Transportation was never an issue as the taxi service was reasonable, very reliable and willing to go just about anywhere on the North Coast. All in all, we discovered a wonderful area of the Dominican. From the spectacular beach and private beach bar, large pool, Ocean World, golf, drinks on the Malecon, to fine dining, our two month stay could not have been better. This was a great place to start experiencing genuine Dominican culture! All the best, David and Rita Carter

Great place to rent will do it all over again!!!
Me and my family stayed here for a 10 days, the house has everything you need, the owner is very attentive, its an a great location in Puerto Plata, we were close to everything you need, walking distance to the beach, about a 10 minute drive to the super market, el malecon, and 15 minutes to the teleferico, and 5 minutes from the Brugal factory which is a must. The house is very clean, and spacious, and the owner thought of everything to make you feel at home, she makes sure you feel comfortable in your stayed.

Puerto Plata is a very nice place to visit.
"Wonderful time in Playa Dorada" We stayed in Playa Dorada for the month of March 2014 and we really enjoyed it. I have travel a lot and stayed in many different hotel and condos, but this was the best. What you see on the internet, is the absolute truth. Cindy is a very honest and caring owner. I did have a couple minor issues during my stay, but they were quickly handle after I contacted Cindy. The condo is fantastic with very nice and comfortable furnitures and TVs, and the kitchen is ultra modern. We also really appreciated the outdoor BBQ (a very big and nice BBQ). The San Marino complexe is very nice and secure. The swimming pool is big and clean and the beach is only a five minutes walk from the condo, and at the beach you have very nice chairs and umbrellas. The staff at San Marino is excellent, the laundry service is great and not expensive. The condo is only ten minutes to Puerto Plata by taxi where you have the Las Sirenas store which is just like a WalMart (this is where we when for grocery shopping) they also have a Domino's Pizza. I visited the old San Felipe Fort, I went to the top of the mountain in the teleferic and had a really great time visiting many places around Puerto Plata. The only thing missing as far as I am concern, is something like a seven eleven in the plaza in the front of the condo. They have many things, but not your basic like bread, cold meat, butter and eggs. Beside that, they have many things. With all the condos being built around Playa Dorada, maybe someone will invest in a seven eleven or something like that. Beside that, everything was excellent, and God willing, I will go back next year.

Above expectations!
We were there for 2 weeks in early February 2014. The unit is part of the San Marino complex within the Playa Dorada gated golf community, a short 10 min drive to DT Puerto Plata. The complex is quiet, well maintained with a large pool. 24 hr security made us feel very safe. A short 5 min walk to the private SM beach area with complimentary lounge chairs and umbrellas. This secluded beach is set in a calm bay with low surf. Beach goes a long way, good for walks. Some vendors are allowed but are not pushy at all. This three BR unit was really really nice as shown on the pictures. Newly and tastefully decorated, modern, fully equipped with everything you need including BBQ on spacious balcony, flat screen TV's in all rooms, A/C, dishwater, you name it. The complex has very reliable power, we had no issues with power outages, which are common occurrences in the DR. Cindy, the owner, was just excellent to deal with. Early on, we had a few minor hiccups with hot water. We contacted Cindy via e-mail and she had someone there right away. She was great answering any questions we had about the area, restaurants, places to go, etc which really contributed to enhancing our stay in PP. We could get the free WiFI signal in the morning on the balcony, but the best connection was at the pool area. There really is no real grocery store close by and you have to go to the city. We rented a car for the duration and glad we did due to the freedom it afforded us. Driving in the DR is "different" let's just say road regulations are considered more like "suggestions" by the locals. Watch for missing manhole covers, I kid you not, if you drive in Costambar or around Las Terrenas. Expect to get fleeced by the car rental agencies as they typically will not honor on line quotes. All in all, we give the unit and its owner 5 Stars. We really enjoyed our stay in PP and would rent Cindy's unit again without hesitation, it was perfect.
