"Always surprised that Pondicherry does not have any decent, modern, full-facility five-star hotels, given Marriott and GRT have opened great top-notch hotels in Trichy and Madurai etc. This is quieter than the Accord, though also on a busy street. Two issues seem to get mentioned in the comments: hair in bedding and bad smells. I encountered both, after accidentally lifting the bottom bed sheet to see some long black hairs stuck to mattress lining. The smell from carpet area was tolerable but...
