"Our stay at Catrinka’s hale was stunning. Every morning I couldn’t believe the breeze coming through, and the views and sounds of nature out every window. It’s a quick drive to Waimea coffee company or Hapuna beach! There were many useful odds and ends as far as kitchen, toiletry, and beach items. Tape and scissors! We swapped pillows for the ones in the closet that were more like ours at home. Any time I needed something I was able to find it, if I wasn’t I knew Catrinka was a phone call away....

"Loved everything about this place! The location is great. We walked across the street to watch the sunset every evening, always a stunning show. The house was easy to live in, equipped with everything we needed. We spent a lot of time on the lanai which looks toward the ocean. There’s beach equipment, and the beaches are a very short drive from the house. There’s also a park at the end of the street where you can get in the water if you’re on the more adventurous side. "This was the most relaxing place we have ever stayed at. Each night the frogs sang us to sleep and in the morning the birds sang us awake. There were a few water issues that were cleared up and communication with Marc and Carmela was great. It was great being close enough to Hawi Town and Kapaau to walk and enjoy all that both towns offer. We will be back!"

"Staying in the Waipio Valley is a magical experience and Kristi and Sukumar's cottage is the perfect place to do it. We used the small kitchenette to cook meals each night, hiked, did trail runs, walked to the black sand beach and viewed the epic waterfalls. It was incredible and we can't wait to come back."

"We were looking at the Waipio Valley cliffs and ocean right in the bed! The view is better than the Outlook site which is half mile away. The scene is changing all the time, sunshine, hovering clouds, overcast, rain, and rainbow of all kinds, like one coming right out of the valley half mile away while the orchard is sunny and the cliffs under overcast. "Hali’i Kai a quiet resort tucked into the Waikolo area. Its townhomes stretch from oceanfront, back to golf views. Watch for whales from its beautiful, family-friendly pool. Food and drink options, as well as a small gym are also located there. Our units furnishings were somewhat dated, but clean and comfortable. A beach cooler, sand toys, and boogie boards were available for our use. If you’re looking for a smaller, more private resort, I’d definitely recommend Hali’i Kai"

"Great place. Everything we needed including beach towels and coolers and umbrellas. The staff was very accommodating. Parking spot was tiny and inaccessible, but others were empty so we used them. We had two centipedes and some flying cockroaches visit us, but that wasn’t about cleanliness, just the reality of the area. Would return!"

Great choice by choosing the Westin

"Wow factor and impressive view as you first walked into the expansive lobby. Gorgeous scenery and openness throughout the entire resort as it is set over several levels and stunning lush landscape. The backdrop was truly spectacular and the beach was perfect! Beautiful white sand that you can walk down for quite some distance. There are umbrellas and chairs down below. Two pools that face the ocean, on different decks, one was adults only. As it is a gated resort community, it is a public beach however it doesn’t feel as crowded as it was a separate entrance from the resort. We also went to other beaches and a couple other resorts however, we were so happy that we chose the lesson as we felt not only our beach resort as well was a step above. We loved the food at every restaurant and the fish was delicious. We did have dinner at the sister property, which was a nice option to see the manta rays and could visit by shuttle anytime, although that was a nice dining experience as well, we thought we made the right choice with our hotel as the Westin was renovated with a better view and resort as a whole experience. Honestly, we felt the sister property was not as pretty and had kind of an awkward layout. We would not hesitate to return to the Westin in the future and would highly recommend it to anyone! "
