Disliked: Staff & service, property conditions & facilities
Before arrival we couldn’t get a hold of the property manager to even figure out how to get in. There were never any instructions given. Finally after many expensive international phone calls and messages we got her to meet us at the property. I also knew there was no air conditioner, but the fans were not working to keep us cool at night (the one night out of four we were suppose to stay). The first night ants swarmed the couch I was sleeping on and I sent her a message with no response. The dog on property and all of the other dogs in the neighborhood barked ALL NIGHT LONG. We did not sleep. The next morning I started making more expensive phone calls to be able to get out of there and then noticed the thousands of ants once the sun came up in the place. After she came to check it out around 9 am I was told that she would refund only the nights not stayed but not any of the fees. I could go on and on but in the end after spending hours on the phone with home away at $2 a minute, they told me to call my credit card company and have all charges taken off of my card since the property manager violated the contract (did I mention there wasn’t a full-size fridge as promised?). So now we are in a battle to get my money back and of course I had to get another more expensive place because that’s all I could find.
