Comfortably furnished with great attention to detail, this first-floor condo with stairs to entry, is truly fabulous. Near the edge of a bluff overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean, this condo also commands spectacular views Bali Hai, the north shore landmark made famous in "South Pacific."

The spacious lanai is very inviting. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful panorama while tropical breezes gently caress you. Here is an ideal place to have a morning cup of coffee or cool beverage any time in total comfort and, of course, enjoy the sky's varied hues at sunset. Many windows also bring this sensational scenery indoors.

A telescope has been thoughtfully provided to enhance distant views and offer the opportunity to see, up close, an occasional boat sailing by as well as Kauai's marine life. Frequently, playful dolphins offshore can be seen "showing off." During winter, giant humpback whales visit the Hawaiian Islands from Alaska to the delight of visitors and kama'aina alike.

In Princeville, there is a wonderful variety of restaurants with delicious cuisine and tempting menus. A short drive down the hill takes you to Hanalei, a charming town with many small shops and galleries as well as additional delectable eateries. No doubt, you will want to spend time at the crescent-shaped beach at Hanalei Bay, one of the nation's most highly rated beaches.

Golf enthusiasts will appreciate having two world-class courses right in Princeville -- Prince Golf Course and Makai Golf Course, both designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. If tennis is more to your liking, feel free to play on the courts right at Pu'u Poa.

Gorgeous Views in Princeville
This condo has it all. A/C, washer, dryer, and all accessories, appliances…plus, being a corner unit, there is a panoramic view of Mount Makana (Bali Hai) out the back, and Pali Ke Kua from the kitchen and eating nook. Walking distance from 1 Hotel Hanalei, as well as Hanalei Bay Resort. Near great restaurants, and above Hideaways Beach. Wonderful location in Princeville!

Fantastic location and condo layout
Aside from the potential difficulties for some individuals of 30 stair-steps (6 up, 24 down to go from the parking lot to the front door), this is a very nice condominium with stunning, unobstructed sunset views from the living room & lanai and great northern views from the dining room for whale watching. It was very comfortable, quiet and relaxing, with the wonderful benefit of being visited by three to five Nenes every day!

The location was everything we wanted. Felt like we had the place to ourselves. Being able to sit outside and hear, smell, and see the ocean was incredible. Every window had a view. A few steps to the trail for Hideaways beach was the cherry on top. Can't say enough good things.

Amazing Views but in need of work
I rented the unit for the views and it didn't disappoint! Beda were comfortable and the shower is awesome. The kitchen looks to be newly updated and it was nice to cook meals in. The problem arose with the overall condition, cleanliness and lack of repair. Almost all the windows have tears in the screen, the screens don't close correctly which leaves gaps so there are flies, gnats, ants and roaches no matter how clean we were. The first day I had to vacuum because when we checked in there were cobwebs and dead bugs. Empty wine bottles in cupboards, etc. The closets are almost unusable because they are filled with junk. Same with several kitchen cupboards. Overall we loved the view and kitchen. But disappointed with the rest.

Great location!
The condo was in a great location for exploring Princeville. Everything was clean and stocked with what we needed to enjoy our stay. You can’t beat the view and stargazing from the front yard and lanai. Would stay here again.

Getting away!
My wife and I needed to get away as part of an early anniversary celebration. This was a perfect place for us. Great views, quiet and relaxing, gentle sounds of the ocean and roomy. Loved being on north shore this trip and proximity to Hanalei was great. Will look at this property again next trip!

We have stayed in Pu'u Poa several times, but we loved 112 the best due to the incredible views and being on the ground floor that provided extended living space on the grassy area. We also enjoyed the fact that there were additional views from the dining area which brought in cross ventilation to keep things cool. We are looking forward to returning to this location...and for a longer time.

Unparalleled sunsets with Nepali coast to your left and Pacific at your feet. Not to mention snorkeling on Hideaway beach directly below you as well. Excellent location. Staff/management was also very responsive to fixing a ceiling fan (these are critical as indoor climate is dependent upon air circulation without A/C - the natural breeze through the large screen doors kept it very comfortable). Great spot for families with small kids. Would stay here again in a heart beat!

North Shore Kauai - Princeville
The pictures online don't do the size of the condo justice. I loved the layout of this unit. Very spacious and plenty of room for our family of 4 to stretch out and not be on top of one another. The 180 degree views of the ocean are amazing and we spent every night enjoying the sunsets. Proximity to the Princeville Resort could not be beat. We enjoyed the short walk over to the resort to patronize the lobby bar with its unbelievable views of Hanalei Bay. Will definitely book this unit again on our next trip to Kauai. Note: Only problem we ran into was the electric grill on the lanai did not work (kept tripping the GFCI outlet). Was not a big deal for us since the kitchen has high end Wolfe appliances which were a pleasure to use.

We had an amazing stay at this property. The location was unmatched and after traveling throughout the entire island over the course of the past week our group all unanimously agreed that our front yard was the most beautiful view on all of Kauai. We loved watching sunrises and sunsets daily in the lawn chairs outside. Accommodations were beautiful and fit the island vibe. We also really appreciated the snorkel gear, beach chairs, and puzzles provided. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Comfortable accommodations with spectacular view
I am not a morning person. But for the four mornings I spent here, I became one. Enjoying a coffee and breakfast while sitting on the outside patio or in a chair on the grass just outside the family room door was an experience I will never forget. The place is just as depicted in the pictures, except that the pictures cannot capture the soothing sound of the waves, the smell of the sea and trees, or the beautiful bird that happens to alight just outside your door. This particular unit has the best view of the entire complex as it is on the corner with the best vantage point and is on the ground (permitting you to walk outside a sliding glass door and enjoy one of the finest panoramic views on earth). It is just impossible to keep yourself from enjoying the view at any time of day. Even the kitchen sink window looks out on the ocean. The unit is well appointed too. Apparently someone complained about the toaster oven and coffee maker, and Dan, the owner, showed up as we were entering the unit with brand new ones. We had three teenagers who did not mind sharing the one bedroom for a few days, especially because they only used it for sleeping. The rest of the unit is very spacious. The climb down to the beach was interesting. We were there after much of the north shore of the island had mudslides, and that made descending the path to the beach more of a challenge than it would otherwise be. But that did not keep us from using the quiet, aptly named Hideaway Beach. The beach is lovely, and we enjoyed snorkeling and seeing sea turtles every day. It was a wonderful stay. I hope to make it back someday.

Awesome location but be aware of large number of stairs
Given the two choices above "I loved it" or "Not really", I leaned toward the former. However, the reality is that I liked it very much, but short of love. The good things: great location, fabulous unit with plenty of room, and you can't beat the first floor location with grass green belt in front of unit prior to cliff to the ocean. The bed was extremely comfortable, which was a welcome discovery given that our previous rental's bed "memory foam" had developed Alzheimer's. The sunsets were also spectacular, and we made it a point to always be at the unit for that time of day as nowhere else on the island can beat this view. Also, each evening a family of Ne'ne's (Hawaii's state bird, and native goose) would stroll by the unit on their way back to their nest for the night. They were very vain and loved to pose for the camera. The bad things: maybe I don't know how to lock a sliding door (unlikely because I have two at home, but I'm open to the possibility I was somewhat inept on this one) but the lock on front slider does not engage easily. And, when it does, it is tenuous at best. A little wiggling of the doors and it was open again. Try as I may, I was unable to securely lock the front slider. Future renters should be aware of this. I did not, nor did I feel like I safely could, leave anything of value in the unit. Not being able to secure the unit this was a little off-putting especially given that the rental agency, Kauai Vacation Rentals, went out of their way to put a message in the welcoming package indicating that crime was on the uptick on the island and to be wary. A final downside is the number of stairs required to access the unit. It is not mentioned in description and should be, given this is "first-floor" unit and one would not think that stairs would be an issue. The other problematic issue, and certainly not the fault of the unit or owners, was we visited about 3 weeks after the devastating rains that hit this side of the island, and caused heavy damage to some of the infrastructure. Given the statement put out by the Kauai Visitors bureau, I was under the impression, wrongly as it turns out, that the roads to all of the big north side tourist attractions would be open and available. Sadly, all roads beyond Hanalei were closed down which meant that the sites we specifically came here to see...Lumahai beach, Tunnels beach, and Haena State Park, were not open to us. Overall, a good trip, but not the great one
