Located in Princeville; it’s just minutes from shopping and the world famous Hanalei Bay. Also within minutes, you will find the Princeville Spa, tennis, fine dining, hiking and of course the pristine North Shore
beaches that attract visitors from all over the globe.
Princeville is also home to two world class golf courses (just three minutes from the condo).

You can relax on your own private lanai and listen to the ocean surf while watching the whales (winter months) and seabirds dance on the trade winds. Enjoy beautiful ocean views from every room and have your own private seat to watch Kauai’s dramatic sunsets. Amazing Ocean View

Location of house was in a beautiful well kept community. My reason for the low rating was because you are being charged so much money for cleaning fee and the house was very DIRTY! I can go on and list everything that has I’m not one to be picky where I stay but I really felt uncomfortable and had to make the best of it.

The View

The is view worth the price of admission! Whether sitting on the lanai or lounging in the bedrooms, you’ll have an incredible view. There is a grocery store around the corner so you can stock up for the stay. We used the condo as a jumping off point for the whole island. I highly recommend!

Nice stay overall

The Banyan building unit was very spacious. Overlooked the really nicely appointed pool. Could hear the ocean waves breaking against the sea wall across the street. The only complaint is that there is not any air conditioning. The room is very warm if it is warm outside. But, the ceiling fans help and with more upright fans the temp was tolerable.

Positives: View of the ocean from condo was spectacular. Location close to pool was great. Living area was adequate. Had ceiling and stand alone fans throughout. Negatives: No air conditioning. Bottom of bath tub had rust area. Rust around faucet handles in master bathroom. Door to condo would slam if not held to close.

I should’ve read the reviews more carefully when booking this place. Trying to sleep with no air conditioning after baking in the sun all day wasn’t pleasant. The property does have several fans, all of which my wife and I positioned around the bed we slept in. Bed was comfortable. The kitchen has about everything you need bust my wife and I mostly ate out. Having beach chairs and boogie boards available was nice. Ample parking near the property but very limited parking at Queens Bath and the other nearby beach and this property location was too far of a walk. Reasonable price if you don’t mind the heat.

Amazing views!

Our family truly enjoyed our stay in Alii Kai condo's. The condo was located in a great spot for us to do all our favorites...hiking, surfing and relaxing on the beaches! The unit was clean and had every amenity we could ask for.

Relaxing stay

While the unit could use a good deep cleaning, it was mainly clean. Everything was well appointed and the property was nice and quiet. It was relaxing to sit on the balcony and watch the birds and chickens and the water, of course. The location was good, resorts all around and not far from Hanelei shopping.

A great location to view and hear the ocean! Enjoyed the condo, close to the pool and had everything we needed. The only negative would be the kitchen could use a good cleaning and the smaller appliances could be replaced with new. Overall, enjoyed the condo and wouldn't think twice about staying here again!

Oceanfront condo

Beautiful oceanfront view(saw tons of whales) great location, roomy, perfect for 3 people. Kitchen is very tight for more than one person at a time.. we had to wash all dishes before use(very dirty) and there were crumbs in all the drawers, other than that, things were pretty clean. The pool is freezing cold(unheated) and there's no hot tub. Close to a food store and small village- tons of beautiful beaches really close by.

Outstanding location and unbelievable view

This is truly a hidden gem. You have no idea what you are getting until you walk through the door. As I have been to Kauai quite a few times this condo in Princeville is awesome. Do not Hesiod you are looking to get away and experience the ocean view and total relaxation!

Gorgeous views of the water and great location. Really enjoyed our time here. Condo could use a lot of work. Very dark kitchen and cookware shot...main bathtub/shower didn't drain properly and Internet very sporadic. Beds great, but couch very uncomfortable(I think it was a futon)

Spectacular view from Family room and both bedrooms.

Loved the view of the ocean from the deck, living room and bedrooms. Pool was really great. We met a lot of great people at the pool. Many come back every year. Location was perfect. Mi utes to a golf course with mountain and ocean views. Close to many beaches. So many great food trucks. Condo needs a few upgrades but it has everything we needed. Includes parking, washer & dryer, dishwasher, 3 tvs, good wifi, good water pressure, closets with hangers, beach towels, toilet paper, and beach chairs.

Amazing view and kind host!

We arrived late at night and went straight to bed. We awoke to a SPECTACULAR VIEW from our second floor bedroom that seemed more like a painting than reality. It was a beautiful, unobstructed view of the ocean and lush landscape. We spent hours on the lanai reading, drinking coffee, and relaxing because the area around the condo was very peaceful. The condo is in Princeville, a safe and quiet community with a shopping center that has a grocery store, shops, restaurants, gas station, etc. It is a short drive to Hanalei, one of our favorite places on the island. One of the best parts of our experience was the responsiveness and kindness of the host, Sherry. She promptly returned all messages and answered questions. After we left, we realized we left a few things, including a set of car keys, in the condo. She quickly went to the condo, retrieved the keys, and placed them in the mail. She did not let us pay for the postage. That was very kind. Thank you, Sherry.

Horrible experience with VRBO

Neither VRBO or the property owner advised us that the unit we rented and paid for was unavailable until we called to check before we were to fly to Kauai. It cost us over $1,000 to remake necessary travel arrangements to return home. We will never recommend VRBO!

This is a wonderful property! With excellent ocean views from every room.

This is our 2nd time staying at Sherry’s wonderful condo, for 8 nights. Previous time that we stayed here, it was for 12 nights. First of all, we love this property as it has breathtaking ocean views from both bedrooms, and the lanai. Sherry is so sweet and was always available to get a hold of. The condo has everything you need, for your relaxing vacay on this beautiful island of Kauai. The rental price is very reasonable for a 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms condo, in a nice area of Princeville. It’s a very quiet unit and close to Foodland grocery store, and all of our favorite beaches in Northshore:- Hanalei, Tunnels, Ke E, & Lumahai. We will definitely come back and stay here again, for our next Kauai vacay. It’s our favorite island. Aloha! Pwint

AWFUL EXPERIENCE

Mold everywhere!!! The following were all dirty and/or moldy: - Pillow cases and pillows had black mold on them (bed and couch pillows) - Towels in each bathroom were dirty, not even close to clean - Toilets were disgusting - Overall bathrooms were dirty - SHeets and towels covering furniture in the living room - Entire unit smelt of mold right when we walked in Ended taking pictures and videos, leaving the unit immediately, contacted the owner, filed a claim/complaint with VRBO and fought to get our money back. We lost two days of our trip dealing with this situation and spent money on hotels until we could find another Condo to rent in Kapaa. We rent via VRBO all the time and glad they were able to refund our money after such a terrible experience. DO NOT RENT this unit, the owner was just as awful to deal with as the inconveniences of the entire situation.

Outdated few things needs work like shower door blocking towel rack

It’s not thoroughly clean. All the fans are so dusty it’s blowing dust. The Kitchen & the Masters Shower is too small my husband is tall he has to bend to take a shower & the door is blocking the towel rack. The Living Room sofa is covered with a material so we have to spray with Lysol.No AC. Overall this condo needs a thorough renovating. Other than that Amazing Oceanfront View

Great condo with a great view

Condo is spacious and a perfect size for 4 people. The view from the bedrooms, living and porch are amazing. There were lots of fans inside to help keep it cool. Fortunately it wasn't too hot while we were there so the fans kept it pretty cool. Master bedroom and bath are very spacious. 2nd bedroom/bath are a little smaller but beds were very comfy. Appliances are in need of updating, especially the dishwasher and the dvd players. Only the one in master bedroom worked and the sound on that tv vibrates so it was pretty hard to enjoy a movie. It was great having beach chairs, unbrella's, an ice chest and a boogie board to use. For a 10 night stay, it would have been nice to have more toilet paper and paper towels. Location is a 10 minute drive to Hanalei, which is the main town and Anini Beach, which had amazing snorkeling. Lots of fish and turtles and shade. Overall we had a great stay.

DO NOT RENT THIS UNIT!!!

Rented unit 7202, it was my first and last time renting thru VRBO. First of all, I live on a neighboring island, and I have I do condo cleaning part time. With that said, I know when a unit is clean just by the smell. When I opened the door my heart sank. Everywhere I looked was dirty. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Checked the beds, and the linens had hair on them, drool on pillow cases, and smelled dirty. Anyone can tell when sheets are washed and when they smell like someone has slept in them. That was just the beginning of the grossness we had to deal with. The bathrooms were disgusting. Toilet seats were gross, and the master bathroom one had poop smeared on the bottom. The sink had hair stuck on the faucet and the sink from shaving. The shower had hair all over and moldy looking spots all over. Everything was sticky, and I went into cleaning mode because the owner wasn't answering the phone. I wanted to start cleaning, except their really weren't many cleaning supplies in the unit. We had to go to Foodland in princeville to buy cleaning supplies. My friend and I both cleaned for almost 3 hours that night. It was after 10 p.m., and we were still cleaning. The owner finally called me back and said she personally cleaned the unit for 2 days straight. I told her it was obviously not true. She lied and lied and even screamed at me. We had to wash everything because we felt so grossed out. The next day, the owner called me again when we were out on a drive, tryin

Awesome view, inside could use some updates

The view here was awesome. I've stayed at Alli Kai twice before, so am familiar with the units. Even though it did mention this in the ad, I was a bit surprised that there literally was no spices or anything you would cook with other than salt and pepper. I've never seen this, so if you like to cook, either be prepared to buy every basic spice/herb or go without. Also, we were provided with 3 spoons. After quite a bit of searching, I found a stash a silverware in the very back of a lower cabinet, so just pulled a few spoons from there. The master bed was comfortable, with the guest bed being a bit soft. It got uncomfortable after a few days. There's no AC, but they do provide plenty of floor fans. Rooms do get a bit warm in the afternoon though. 2nd bathroom is really where the most updates could be had. The towel racks fell down every time a towel was grabbed, until we just left it on the floor. The tub of the shower had pink staining, and what looked to be scratches or minor cracks. Water pressure was good. Proximity to the pool was fantastic. Overall, I wouldn't choose to stay in this particular unit again unless the things I mention above are addressed. If you're on a budget though, this is probably good enough for the price with the view.

nice location, needs a cleaning

There are many condos in Alli Kai, so every one has a wonderful view. This unit has a wonderful view of the ocean. Princeville, in general is an exceptionally clean area. As for the unit itself, I had read that it needed a cleaning but then another review did not say that. It needs a deep cleaning! As stated in another review, everything has a stickiness to it. Mold spots on doors,walls, kitchen, everything had to be washed before use, outdoor plastic chairs and old seat covers stained. Indoor table and chairs had covers on them, which we respected and left on, but they also were stained. Towels had that old moldy smell to them before use. There was a notice on the door that we were to have no power one day, and to make arrangements for our refrigerated food? There was the threat of rain and possible winds approaching so the maintenance man locked up all the chairs at this pool for more than 5 days, which I could understand except none of the other pools had this done? So people sat on the concrete. We had a few concerns but found the owner not very responsive. Never did they call to say anything about "bad" weather? Or suggestions if there was bad weather approaching, what to do. I've stayed in Kauai on other occasions and many other islands, this was the dirtiest. I gave it a 2 star mainly because the view is nice, but also know it's a view and you are not able to walk down to the water from here. There are other nice views with better options.

We enjoyed staying at this property so much. It was in a perfect, quiet location and the view was breathtaking. Couldn't have asked for a better time! The host was easy to contact and was helpful. Easy check in and out process. Loved it!
