Wonderful property!
Clean, cozy and spacious property with everything you could need! The pool was great and the hot tub was a nice feature after a long day of hiking. We enjoyed the location as the neighborhood was great and close to all Princeville/Hanalei has to offer. Beds were very comfortable and you could tell this property is well cared for and properly maintained. Property manager was helpful with any questions about the area as well. Highly recommend!

Ocean view house in Princeville
This property allowed our whole family to spread out with 3 bedrooms 2 baths and multiple living rooms. Nice view of the ocean, no beach access. Hot tub was great. Pool was cold. Location is great for seeing sites on the north and east side of Kauai. The neighborhood is nice and safe and a quick drive to beaches, shopping and restaurants. Full kitchen and washer dryer. The owner was great, great communication, easy check in/check out process and introduced us to a woman that books events in the island. Things book up quickly during busy season like Christmas and spring break. Book ahead of your trip. Only negatives are that the House does not have air conditioning and the beds are very hard. Master bath does not have its own door.

The perfect vacation spot (part 3)
Feels like our home away from home. We are a returning family for our third time at this pool house. We love it!! We spent 11 days and our 4th of July on this beautiful island. This house offers everything you need - privacy, pool, secluded beach with excellent snorkeling , perfect sunrises, sunsets within walking distance, stars at night, an ocean view, waves to hear at night and not to mention your local friendly albatross. The house has all the amenities needed for our family of 6 - cooking ware, towels, beach towels, beach gear, board games, bbq and washer and dryer. One of the best parts of our stays has been Samantha. She has always answered a question or concern, given advise on where to go, and has been a genuine when speaking with us which made us feel like we were speaking to friend rather than a owner. Thank you so much for sharing your house and giving us memories we will never forget. Kauai and Samantha, A Hui Hou Kakou

Relaxing ocean view/sound property
This property was amazing. My family went for a relaxing laid back vacation and with 3 kids 4 and under, it was our first actual vacation where we were able to kick back and relax with nothing to do but enjoy our personal salt water pool and hot tub and listen to the waves all day long. Samantha was a great host, very attentive and seemed generally excited to host us. She was very responsive anytime I texted her. The house was perfect for us. My kids being little, it was nice to have our own pool as resorts tend to scare them a little when bigger kids splash too much in the pool. We literally were in the pool and hot tub 3-4 times per day. We spent 11 days there and are already looking to book our next vacation here in this same home. I felt at home in paradise. I know there was a nasty review about the house being dated, dirty, bugs, etc. Complete BS. This is a house, with the privacy you get along with it that you do not get in a hotel. It doesn't have to be perfect, and if the paint job of the house (which was fine by the way) is something that is going to be a priority for enjoying your vacation, then a hotel with all the amenities is the way to go, a private oasis is not for you. It's true, there is no A/C, but we were there in June and never needed it. The home was airy and never was it stuffy or hot. I cooked every day, even made a birthday cake for my baby who turned 1 there, and it was never hot even with the stove and oven on. My kids are like little heaters, yet they were nice and fresh and slept perfect the entire stay, something they do not do if they are too hot. My only complaint was the geckos in the house, which was not the fault of the homeowner or the home itself. All the screens were in place so i think the little suckers were just faster than us as we went in and out. We did sight see a bit, mostly trying out the different beaches on the island, though we mainly stayed home and relaxed. Our favorite beach Hanalei was just a 10 minute ride from Princeville. We found it had the softest sand. The south side of the island is definitely hotter, but truthfully we didn't find it much hotter and the plush scenery was definitely missing. Having gone to other parts of the island helped to confirm that Princeville is the most beautiful area and we will never stay anywhere but there in the future. Though really it's all Hawaii, so you can't go wrong! Mahalo Samantha and we cannot wait to be back soon!

Fantastic house in paradise!
We spent seven days in Kauai and couldn't have found a better place to stay. The pool was definitely the highlight of the house; so wonderful to be able to jump in the pool and cool down just steps from the house! House was great for our family of teens- it was fully equipped, had everything we needed. Samantha was so helpful and responsive. Finally, we really liked being on the north shore; Princeville was a really nice residential area and close to some absolutely amazing beaches and hikes.

A Lovely Place!
Our stay at the Ocean Pool House was lovely. The view was stunning and relaxing. Our kids enjoyed going back and forth from the hot tub to the pool on those mornings we weren't ready to trek to the beach just yet. The house really had everything we needed, including beach chairs, pool floats, beach toys, and beach umbrellas. We were traveling with an infant so we did have to rent some baby gates and bring some baby proofing gear to make it safe and allow us to relax a bit more. :) The neighborhood was quiet and the house was clean. And we loved seeing the many albatross nesting throughout the neighborhood. And laundry was key! The caretaker - Samantha - was very responsive. This was our 2nd time staying in Princeville. We have stayed in Hanalei before but with the recent flooding I was a bit worried...so we were glad we stayed up in Princville which is convenient to many shops and restaurants. You won't be disappointed spending a week or two at the Ocean Pool House.

The Ocean Pool House was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Beautiful pool, spa, and great location.
The Ocean Pool Ocean House has a beautiful view, pool, spa, and yard. The house is spacious and the kitchen is well stocked with many utensils, plates, and pots and pans... There is a washing machine and dryer in the garage. The location of the house is great, with Hanalei and a grocery store and restaurants just down the road. The trail down to the beach was a fun little hike; I recommend wearing tennis shoes as the trail was a bit slippery in flip flops. We went on several excursions while staying at the house: (Captain Andy’s Sunset dinner cruise, Smith’s Family Luau, Princeville ATV and zipline tour, Helicopter tour, and Wailua Falls, and Poipu Beach, Gaylord’s and Koala Rum tour) all of which took us no more than 2 hours to get there. Samantha was a pleasure to work with. We’d love to return for another fun trip to Kauai very soon.

Very nice home with pool and ocean view
The home is well located for beaches, stores, etc. We were grandparents with grown kids and grandkids. The home fit all of our needs and the grandkids loved the pool. We walked twice daily to check the goony bird chicks and had a great time. The private home was very nice and quiet.

Our Amazing Vacation Started With Ocean Pool House
Awesome. Our first vacation in Kauai could not have gone any better. We enjoyed the north side of the island the best, so Ocean Pool House was perfectly located. The house sits in a beautiful neighborhood with people walking their dogs and neighbors conversing at their mailbox. I loved the feel. It really did seem like a home away from home. With four older kids, I especially enjoyed how safe the area felt. My daughter and I even went to a book sale at the library located next to the entrance of the neighborhood. We stayed at the end of May/June, which natives say is one of their few slow times. The area around the house was so quiet, even with the windows open all day and night, During the day we opened them fully, and at night for safety a piece of wood can limit the opening. We never felt like we needed air-conditioning except for one or two short intervals after a rain when the almost constant breeze stopped momentarily - not overly hot, just a little sticky. No one complained about the temperature while sleeping. One negative about no air-conditioning is hanging swimsuits and towels don't dry overnight, but with a dryer this was not an issue. Standing by the pool fencing, the ocean view is beautiful. It is more difficult to see from inside of the house, but the pool area is picturesque. Each morning I listened to the ocean, and watched as a variety of bird species visited the pool area. My kids loved the pool after each day of exploring the island, but they enjoyed the hot tub the most. Everything was clean and well-maintained with a pool cleaning visit midweek. An absolutely perfect area to grill and watch the kids swim and have fun. I loved the house - perfect for a family to relax and feel at home. It is not fancy but lacks nothing. For me it is easily five stars. If you are looking at decor only, you might notice a little rust on the bathroom light fixture from the ocean air or that it was not professionally decorated. For some, this might matter. I think it was ideal. Samantha was great. She is a real person not one of those people from a call center in a different state/country, who you will never talk with again. It was wonderful to deal with her throughout the entire process and genuinely seemed excited about our trip. She didn't respond instantly (none of my correspondence was urgent), but always answered in a timely manner. Thanks Samantha! I would definitely stay at Ocean Pool House again!

Loved it!!
The house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac. The home is very comfortable and well equipped. Very convenient hike to a beautiful secluded beach. We walked to the Princeville Center for exercise and coffee everyday. The pool and jacuzzi were great to have when we were not at the beach. The sunrises were beautiful. Right out our front door there were baby Albatross being tended to by their parents. The house is very private and was perfect for the two of us. We look forward to returning later in the year.

Beautiful Location
We had a wonderful stay at the Pool House in Princeville. The home has a quiet private location with just a touch of the sound of waves breaking in the distance. The pool and hot tub were perfect as it allowed us to take a break and relax from the routine day trips we had planned. The kitchen was just a touch small, but is very well equipped with all high quality equipment we needed to cook meals while we were there. For the rest of the house we found it generous in space, with plenty of seating and excellent WIFi connection. The manager Samantha is the best! She made sure that we were comfortable and was available for any questions that we had. We do plan come back to visit real soon!

A home with everything in Paradise
3 couples enjoyed a week at this lovely home in this quiet Princeville neighborhood. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, view to the ocean, and the mountains beyond. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that we were also in an albatross nesting area and it was interesting to learn about the birds and their behaviors. The house is also a 5-10 minute walk to a beautiful secluded beach area which we discovered a few days in. The house was incredibly clean with comfortable beds and furniture and we found everything we needed. The north end of Kauai is beautiful and found ourselves making easy day trips. Hanalei was our go to for amazing fresh dinners. Overall, we enjoyed our stay immensely and the house had everything we could need and was spacious and comfortable. We just won’t be able to get back there soon enough!

Pool with a view-Aloha
The house was perfectly situated on a cliff in Princeville. The beach is not easy to get to but the pool really made the house worth it. You will likely need to drive to a beach, several are really close to the house. The house is a bit older but has a great layout. It allowed for a game area, tv watching area, and reading room;this really allowed all of us to relax our own way. The kitchen was very well stocked and grocery store was an easy trip down the street. Our favorite activities were star watching and swimming.

Comfortable vacation home surrounded by beauty
We stayed at the property the first 2 weeks of January 2018 and were very comfortable there. This isn't a fancy up to date home, but it has everything you need, it's clean, and it's very relaxing. We enjoyed the hot tub at least once daily. We used the pool a couple of times but it was really cold as it's not a heated pool. It is probably perfect in the summer months. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of utensils, pots, pans, etc., and we cooked most of our meals there. The stove and refrigerator are like new. The Weber Genesis grill is outstanding and we enjoyed it several times as well. There are 2 orange trees on the property and we had freshly squeezed orange juice several days. Soaking up the sun with the gentle trade winds blowing against you at the pool area is so amazing, and you can hear the ocean crashing against the rocky shore below at anytime. It is quite a hike to get to the Sealodge beach situated beyond the property, but it's a pristine spot with few visitors. Be sure to bring water so you can stay there awhile. We were lucky to witness many albatross mating rituals and one albatross nesting next to the property. The property manager was responded quickly to any questions or concerns. My only complaint was that the mattress was really hard and has permanent "ruts" where people sleep. But apparently many previous guests had found it to be comfortable. I would love to stay here again - next week would be great!

Relaxing Paradise with a Wonderful View.
We had a wonderful stay! We love to cook while on vacation and the kitchen was well equipped, including a BBQ! The pool was wonderful as 2 of the members of our party were not able to walk to the " private beach". The beach was secluded and very nice. We had plenty of room and loved the location! We would recommend the home for anyone wanting a quiet location, beautiful view and all the amenities of home.....but only in paradise.

Perfect place for our family!
We spent a delightful week in this home, waking each morning to a stunning sunrise and view of the Pacific. There is a little (nearly) deserted beach <10 minutes walk that we enjoyed hiking to, especially in the mornings, and there are plenty of other spots within easy drive -- the Napali Coast (at Kee Beach), Amani Beach (our favorite!), Kilauea, Hanalei and of course, Princeville. The location is truly ideal. The terrace around the pool is gorgeous and we ate every meal there. The interior isn't fancy, but it's super comfortable -- beds with good mattresses, plenty of outdoor seating, inside lazy boy chairs placed to enjoy the views and a kitchen so well equipped that it was easy and fun to eat in or grill fish on the patio. The hot tub was a fantastic feature -- we kept the temps fairly low and enjoyed it in the mornings as well as at night. The house was perfect for a family of four. The master BR has a weird feature -- an adjoining bathroom but with no door! This meant that we were often using the kids' bathroom for privacy, which would get annoying if you were sharing this house for three couples, so keep that in mind. Chairs, cooler and a small number of beach toys were in the garage, so we were well outfitted for the beach. We looked at a variety of nearby options, including everything from the St. Regis to small condos in large complexes. We were so glad that we chose this option!
