ABOUT THIS HOME
Beautifully upgraded private home with approximately 3,680 square feet of living space. Located in an exclusive golf course neighborhood of Princeville on Kauai's spectacular North Shore. The main level consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, large gourmet kitchen including a dining area for family gatherings. Enjoy the backyard swimming pool, outdoor shower and outdoor BBQ. You may even see the Nene Bird, Hawaii's state bird "cruising" on the golf course which adjoins your back yard with mountain views. Additional sleeping area upstairs with bunk beds and full bath. Washer and dryer complete all what you may need to have a fun vacation on Kaua'i! Free WiFi.

Enter into a foyer that leads to the dining area and family living room complete with an 85" Flat-screen TV, large sectional sofa, and office desk and chair. The spacious Primary Bedroom Suite is located off to the right of the living area and is furnished with a Cal King bed, sofa, TV, and large Spa-like bathroom. Bedroom 2 and 3 furnished with Cal King and King bed and TV. Guest rooms are located off to the left of the living area with a shared bathroom. Primary Bedroom and "Aloha" Room have exterior doors to access the tropical grounds and pool area.

The second level features a large loft bedroom furnished with a Cal King bed, Twin bunk beds, sofa and large flat-screen TV. Right off of the loft is the 3rd full bathroom with tiled walk-in shower.
Sliding glass doors from the living area open up to a covered patio area with gas BBQ. Open up the doors to let the cool breezes in, and step out to the swimming pool where you can lounge poolside. The perfect home base to explore miles of sandy beaches on Kauai's North Shore, biking, surfing, sunbathing, kayaking, paddle boarding, beach combing and more!

Wonderful stay

This is a beautiful and comfortable house that had everything for a relaxing stay. So much space and an easy location for all North shore activities. We loved the outdoor space. Great family vacation house.

Tip, there is a wine fridge and the cabinet next to this has extra plates, serving dishes etc. we only figured this out on the last night. A few more pots and pans in the kitchen would be great.

Perfect house, great location

We loved every minute of our stay on Kauai and the home was a perfect home base for our adventures! Beautiful, Clean, updated, and comfortable! Hosts checked frequently to make sure everything was good. Would happily stay here again!

The three bedrooms for the adults and the loft area for the kids all with very comfortable beds were perfect. The huge kitchen was well stocked and our family enjoyed playing games on the large dining table. We appreciated having the beach chairs, umbrellas and ice chest for our trips to the beach in nearby Hanalai. We did purchase (and left for future guests) four boogie boards to add to the other beach gear. Would highly recommend this property. Thank you again!

The property is amazing and the house is nice and big, perfect for our family! The only little concern we had was if the pool filter system actually worked and all the cat/dog hair around. Otherwise it was perfect!

Awesome house

We loved our stay at this house!! It was perfect for our whole family grandparents and kids included. The pool was a hit for everyone and the perfect way to cool down! The downstairs was open and made it easy to all gather together. The upstairs was great for our kiddos and us. The master bathroom was amazing with a HUGE shower. It was clean and well maintained. Having the beach chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards was so convenient. We all highly recommend and loved the location being so close to Hanalei Bay! Can’t wait to come back and stay here again!

A few fun surprises were the hot tub (which wasn't pictured or listed when we booked), all the beds were King sized (vs one listed as Queen when we booked), and there was a cornhole set in the backyard. The house was clean and had everything we needed! The oven was a little smoky and could use a deep clean, but this wasn't a huge issue. We had some trouble with the wifi but Garden Island Properties was super responsive and helped us get it figured out. We would love to come back another time!

Magic of Kauai

We’ve stayed in Princeville for years, renting different houses each time, but this one takes the top spot! The house was actually larger and more spacious than the photos which is almost never the case. The bedrooms were all perfect for our family, with king beds, great airflow, and the master suite was nicer than any hotel/resort room we’d been too, super luxurious with a massive bathroom that made my wife and I feel like we had our own honeymoon suite. The location is excellent, on a little used part of the golf course which made the backyard feel super expansive and private. The pool was a bonus that came in handy on the hot afternoons after long beach day. Hosts were super responsive about our questions, as well, making for an all around fantastic experience.

The rooms are neatly decorated and the house is clean! My son loved all the space to crawl around and even enjoyed watching the flocks of chickens in the backyard. The vents under the windows provide a nice flow of air through the house but on the windy days/nights it can be loud. Towards the end of our stay the power kept going out but I think it was because of the heavy winds. The pool was too cold but we enjoyed a family hike and dinner instead. I’d definitely book again next time we visit Kaua’i.

There are tiny ants; however, we did bring some taro with us based on other reviews which helped immensely in the kitchen (we did not fault the house or management on this - simply nature). And we all commented how we are going to miss our rooster alarm clocks at home - so we are attempting to change our alarms :) Would recommend and hope to stay again. There was no broom or vacuum, would recommend owner/management add to assist with light clean up during the stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, loved having a ho.e to ourselves. Unfortunately, the weather for the 6 days we were there wasn't very good. We wanted a home with a pool but really couldn't use it. We had a problem with the washer and they resolved it immediately, exceptional customer service. Towards the end of our stay, we were invaded by hundreds of small ants, which were also out by the pool as well. There were large beetle bugs that would come into the laundry room as well. I know the climate is indicative of bugs, but it was a nuisance as a guest. Lastly, while there are fans throughout the house, there is no air and I don't know if the storms kept the house warmer but was hard to make the house temp comfortable, day or night. Providing the towels and chairs was awesome. Would have been nice to have starter supplies there like salt and pepper, maybe a couple spices. Definitely enjoyed our family vacation.

Fine house in a convenient location

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed being able to walk to the shops at Princeville, and backing to the FRISBEE-golf course (not a real good course). There are A LOT of roosters and chickens in this area, so be ready to wake up early. There's no A/C, so you have to leave the windows open all the time. This let's in a nice breeze, but lots of roosters crowing and bugs. There's a huge gap under the front and back doors, so any bug can easily come on in, along with gekos. You can also hear the neighbors talking on both sides. Also, because of no A/C, when the humidity is high (and when is it not humid in HI?), EVERY soft surface becomes wet - the couch, pillows, beds... We had a fine time at this house, but the swarms of tiny ants meant we really couldn't even cook, which pretty much defeated the purpose of having a house and not a hotel room. We did not bring up these issues to the property managers because the house documentation states that you have you keep the kitchen really clean or you'll get bugs - which meant to us that they don't have a solution for getting rid of the bugs. Also, the pool is not heated, which you wouldn't think would be a problem, but our week there was rainy and cool, so the pool was also too cool to use. Kind of a bunch of bummers for our trip, but Kauai is stunning, so it's hard to complain too much. At least you're now more informed than I was going into this house.
