And let's not forget what Prescott has to offer. Only 90 minutes from Phoenix or Flagstaff, it has small town charm with modern day conveniences. Tons of restaurants, antique shops, and hiking trails abound. Kayak in the local lakes. Visit the local casinos. Celebrate life down on Whiskey Row. Take in a concert at Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley (just 25 minutes away). Slow down your life and take a stroll around the historic square. Or, just grab some snacks and come back to the house. 20 degrees cooler than Phoenix in the summer. Warmer than Flagstaff in the winter. Always a great place to visit.
New to Prescott? Unsure what to do when you get here? Here are some possible itineraries:
3 nights - Stay local. Enjoy the Courthouse square, Whiskey Row, and Sharlot Hall Museum. Dine at some of the local restaurants. Light hiking or Kayaking at Goldwater Lake or Watson Lake. Tackle the famous promontory of Thumb Butte. Maybe try your luck at one of the 2 casinos just 10 minutes away, or take in a concert at Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley. Most importantly, relax and decompress in the tranquility of the tall pines.
4 nights - Add a day trip. Visit the historic mountainside mining town of Jerome, now filled with several unique stores, wine tasting rooms, and restaurants. Maybe even take a tour of the "haunted" Jerome Grand Hotel. Down the road further is Cottonwood, then on to the Red Rocks of Sedona. On your way back, visit the Historic Indian site Montezuma's Castle.
5+ nights - Now you can really expand your adventure. Maybe a day trip to the Grand Canyon (2 hours away), or a train ride on the Verde Canyon Railroad. See Out of Africa wildlife park. Or focus on more of what Prescott has to offer - more hikes on the 70+ miles of trails. Hit the links at one of the golf courses (I like Stoneridge). Or enjoy more time hanging with the crowds on Whiskey Row.
No matter your level of ambition, there is plenty to see, do, and enjoy.
The house is accessible via paved roads all the way to the property, with room for 4-5 vehicles. No RV's.
We have it all for your stay. Hi-Speed internet, wine glasses and bottle openers, board games and decks of cards. You and your loved ones are sure to enjoy creating special memories in this comfortable and simple home.
