"Beautiful hotel in a wonderful peaceful setting about a ten minute shuttle to San Gimignano. High end restaurant was wonderful but pricey so for the second night we ate in the lobby restaurant. Highly recommend this oasis. "

Cars on premise are not allowed - but the train that was the only form of transportation around the resort only passed by every 20 to 30 minutes which was annoying. "We had an excellent 4-night stay at Hotel Italia. We were particularly impressed by the friendliness, helpfulness, efficiency of the staff - desk, breakfast room, cleaning service. Our room was clean and well-kept. All the facilities worked well: shower temperature and pressure, heating, lights, tea kettle, refrigerator. The beds were standard European firmness.
