We were fortunate enough to stay here for 3 nights, while exploring the temples of the Siem Reap area.
Having come from Phnom Penh, we decided that a quiet rural location would be a welcome change. As it proved to be. We found the Lemongrass suite ( a renovated old Khmer building ) to be spotless and very comfortable, with its luxury bedding, rain shower and ceramic shampoo/conditioner vessels. The grounds were stunning, with the many edible and exotic garden plantings, and a pool setting like no other. After a long, hot day of walking around temples, it was an oasis-like setting, with the water just refreshingly cool. Certainly the best part of the experience though, was the staff. Although the owner Sokun Ang was absent for most of our stay, her young 18 yr. old employee Dalpreet was truly special. When I informed her that it was my husbands birthday during our stay, she went above and beyond to make our dinner that evening special. She set a table in the garden, created some decorations, and organized a personalized birthday cake. The food was excellent - especially the Unforgettably Fragrant Chicken, which we had 2 of the 3 nights. All of the staff were very attentive, and we loved the experience of the countryside. We only wish that we could have had some time to chat with Sokun who created this special place.
