The hotel was average the shower was literally in the same room as the bed and the bed was twin however, the room was small and I only needed a twin. There is no way to turn heat up or down. I was told it’s based on the outside temperature and I found it to be a little chilly and asked for extra blankets and pillows. A very basic hotel just happened to be exactly where I needed it to be.

staff that i spoke with was trying her best to accommodate my needs. the room is not as presentable as shown on then picture. They still used the worn out couch and just covered it with a blanket to hide then peeled leather. Carpet was dusty. Tables are dusty. Creepy place. I cannot recommend this place

Property is very old and it definitely needs some renovation...good location though (walkable distance to main streets with good restaurants and grocery stores). However, a lot of noise with construction next door (starting at 6am) and noise from restaurant/bar underneath the hotel...Also, property closes it doors at 8pm and you will not have help at reception (they even lock their only vending machine) and are not back until around 9am. You are getting what you paid for.

The main problem was the bed. It was broken. We told the reception. They sent a repairmen. He fixed it. But it turn out that bed itself is in a bad condition. When we remove the matress, we saw that the chipboards carrying the bed are held together with plastic parts. Even if you push the chipsboards with your hand, they are stretching. So when we lied down over the bed, bed started to fall in. Since, it hurted our spine and back so much, and there is a risk of bed to be collapse again, we decided to sleep over the floor with the matress. So we had a very bad sleep. We could hardly sleep and woke up with terrible pains. We thought about changing the hotel, but since it was chrismas period, hotels in the city were overbooked and we were planning to stay for only 2 nights, so we stayed. Secondly, the sink was not in the bathroom. It was in the bedroom. So after the toilet, you need to wash your hands in the bedroom. It was really strange. Overall, the hotel was old. But oldness is not the main problem. Bed and sink is a bigger problem. So, if you are just looking for a shelter, roof on your head, and not looking for a sleep, choose it. Otherwise, not choose it at all. Me personally, i was not looking for a luxury, just a decent room would be fine. But the hotel didn’t meet my basic needs. We arrived to hotel and saw a big disappointment. needed to wait 1 hour at 1 am in the morning to bed to be fixed. after that we get a terrible sleep. So i will not stay there again.

Zugegeben: Das Zimmer war sauber und die zentrale Lage des „Koruna“ ist fraglos sein Pluspunkt. Doch woher man die Chuzpe nimmt, sich drei Sterne zu geben, wundert einen dann schon. Das Haus ist qualitativ eher ein besseres Hostel als ein Hotel. - es gibt zwar einen Fernseher, aber der hat kein Signal - im Bad weiß man nicht, wohin mit den Handtüchern, da es keine Handtuchstange gibt - eine Ablage fürs Gepäck und dergleichen: Fehlanzeige; der Koffer darf also auf dem Fußboden liegen - ein einziger Stuhl im Zweibettzimmer ist auch recht dürftig - die Bettwäsche und die Handtücher (zwar sauber) darf man getrost „verschlissen“ nennen Am ärgerlichsten jedoch sind die relativ neuen Boxspringbetten billigster Bauweise, bei denen man schon mit einem Gewicht von 70 - 80 kg auf der Grundplatte aufsitzt. Wie ein etwas schwergewichtiger Zeitgenosse darauf schlafen soll, bliebe die Frage. Höchst unbequem also, Rückenschmerzen am nächsten Morgen sind quasi vorprogrammiert. Fazit: Nur für jene zu empfehlen, die unbedingt am falschen Ende sparen wollen. Für die aktuelle lärmende Baustelle um die Ecke kann „Koruna“ selbstredend nichts. H. S.
