"The absence of customer-facing people is a problem. I tried to get check-in instructions by emailing in advance, and calling the Penzion, but only got them on the day of my arrival. My room was separated from its wc and shower by a corridor which also led to the office. The curtain was coming off the curtain rail and the curtain rail was coming off the wall. "The small hotel is wonderfully decorated with many interesting objects and collections. Roman is a very attentive, kind and conscientious host. His breakfast was excellent. This small hotel is a gem."

"Pleasant hotel for a short stay, the room was spacious, clean and quiet (perfect after a long day). Location is out of the city area but serviced very well by the public bus service. If staying here, make sure you have everything you need before you arrive, I didn't find any shops locally. Miriam (the Owner) was hospitable, and able to advise on local transport links and places to spend the evenings. If passing through Brno and want a quiet, relaxing place to stay, try here."

Great stay

"Pretty good all in all. As you would expect situated across from a huge conference centre, this hotel is busy and fast moving. Occasionally noisy but most guests are on business so respectful. Breakfasts were good, very diverse. Nice coffee bar in the breakfast gall at no extra cost. Nice bar. The only thing I would suggest would be to replace a couple of machines in the gym and to include some comfort/simple food items on the menu. The menu was fancy but sometimes at a hotel you're tired and you just fancy something simple like a salad and bread or a bowl of french fries or a cheeseboard or something. They like their meat in Czech Republic so there were two meat free items on the menu, one included chorizo so I'm not sure they fully comprehend what it means to be meatless (!) "
