FARM-TO-TABLE eating, good hot tub soak, S'mores around fire pit, seasonal POOL!

We are pleased to once again offer our ever-popular home-away-from-home, fully-appointed, secluded guest apartment with full kitchen, laundry, and private entrance. Newly added: propane "wood" stove! Queen bedroom, king bed in large alcove off living room, and comfy (no kidding) double pull-out sofa in recently redecorated and enlarged LR. Fully stocked kitchen/DR combination with all appliances including dishwasher and microwave. Entrance is through a heated mudroom storage for skis, boots, and all manner of sports gear. Bathroom with double shower, washer and dryer. Large closets, cable TV, DVD, CD stereo. Fenced in brick courtyard for outdoor grilling / dining and just-added private fire pit around the corner next to the newly-installed deck for hot tub. Large yard, POOL in season. Second apartment available for additional guests.

Convenient to Williamstown, MA (6 miles) and to Bennington, VT (6 miles); both with scores of recreational, entertainment, culinary, and cultural venues. Many agri-tourism opportunities, farm-to-table dining, world class art galleries and cultural venues, superb hiking and river rafting and boating, top drawer theater festival, and regional theater, an authentic drive-in theater AND a destination diner.

Where else can you stay and choose to go to Saratoga Raceway one day, hear the Boston Symphony (or James Taylor) at Tanglewood the next, go white-water kayaking on the Battenkill after that, then see a Broadway touring company at Proctors one night and a first run production at the Williamstown Theater Festival the next, hike the AT the next day and maybe even the day after that (we have two access points), and then wrap it all up with a shopping spree at one of our premium outlet centers? There is so much to do here, if you spent the entire summer, you couldn't do it all.

Dog permitted under most circumstances. Please request the Doggie Dos and Don'ts and tell us something about your pet!

Perfect getaway!
Got this place to have a nice relaxing weekend and it was perfect. The hot tub was perfect and even though it is next to a busy road we heard nothing. Our 4legged boy was happy here too, we're definitely coming back!!

Great stay
The place was perfect for us. There were 3 beds all clean. The pool and hot tub were great. It’s kind of in the middle of nowhere but things aren’t a that far of a drive from there. I will definitely keep this place in mind for future.

Vermont Getaway
My husband and I enjoyed this property and location for a 3 day trip to Vermont. We were roughly 10 minutes from downtown Bennington, where we enjoyed numerous local restaurants. After a day of exploring and hiking in the area, the hot tub was a perfect way to relax and end our day. Everyone we met was so friendly, and we hope to return to Vermont in the future!

Good place for a weekend getaway
Property was clean and everything was as listed. Good value for the $ compared to other nearby places. We never received the information from the property owner re: code to get in, but when I called, she was very responsive and got the onsite manager there within minutes. Great location for activities in nearby Bennington, VT, as well as Williamstown and N. Adams, Mass.

Oh so Nice, we did it Twice
This was our second stay at this location and each time is a great experience. We love brining our pets and just enjoying some down time. The hot tub alone is worth the price of admission. I’m sure we will be back again

Great place to stay
We got off to a rough start with what seemed to be a communication error between owner and manager, but the rest indoor stay was very nice. The unit wasn’t property prepared (not very clean) and despite really trying to be proactive on my end to avoid check-in issues we ended up arriving at 4 with no code to get in and no one to greet us. I called the owner and she took care of it, contacting the manager. Unfortunately, I was traveling with my 79 year old mother who had just endured 2 days of travel to get to her granddaughter’s graduation and it was hard in her. On a happier note, the property is great! I think it was just a communication error and that it was a rare occurrence.

Lovely property
We loved staying here! The place was spotless, comfortable and well stocked. There was a small issue with the lockbox when we arrived, but after a quick phone call Sandy arrived and all was well. The location is great - we visited both the Clark and MassMoca while we were there. Of course, it was wonderful to have the hot tub. The pool looked inviting, but the weather was too cold and damp for us to take advantage of it. Would happily stay here again.

Disc Golf Weekend with Friends
Came down from Montpelier for a weekend disc golf tournement with friends. It was a great location with privacy. Clean unit with a clean hot tub. Nice grill for grilling. Had all the amenities you would look for at home. Was like home away from home. Would definitely stay there again! Thank you for an amazing weekend!

All the comforts of home
We were very comfortable in this cozy apartment with all the comforts of home. It was perfect for our small family of three and wonderful that we could bring our dog too. We skied each day and cooked in every night. Enjoyed the hot tub too! Immaculate with fresh towels and sheets - a great place to stay to enjoy the Berkshires and southern Vermont.

Great stay for graduation in Williamstown
Large comfortable clean apartment less than 10 minutes to Williamstown. Write up and pics were accurate and friendly owners made us feel right at home. Too bad we did not have more time to chat with Pat and her husband as we were busy with graduation at Williams college to the south. This property is way better than the similarly priced motels nearby .

Weekend Ski Trip
We arrived at the property Friday afternoon and we were greeted by the property Manager who let us in and showed us the place. The property was accurately described online and had pictures of the accommodations. We prepared meals here and the kitchen was outfitted with all the necessary utensils. We skied at Mt Snow which was about 45 minutes away. We then returned and prepared and ate dinner then enjoyed the comfortable accommodations and Hot Tub. We left on Sunday after making a full breakfast and cleaning up. It was a nice place to stay !

Indeed, Vermont is beautiful!!!
We stayed in south of Bennington for 3 weeks and it was a great location for enjoying the beauty of Southern Vermont. The apartment is spacious and quite well equipped. We particularly enjoyed the patio and spend lots of time there, reading, relaxing and enjoying a glass of wine. I would give it 5-stars for "pet friendly". Our dog enjoyed the patio as much as we did and he loved playing with Rooney. Gabe came to the rescue when we encountered a deluge of flies in the apartment. He was "landlord on the spot". Also, enjoyed the Vermonster hot dogs.

Absolutely Wonderful!
This is going to be a bit of a weird review. We were supposed to stay here but the catastrophic VT rains left some dampness in part of the space so the owner upgraded us to the unexpectedly empty upstairs barn apartment. So first let me tell you what is the same: Hot tub and pool, delightful. Fire pit and huge lawn, wonderful. Easy access, right of the road and near great places in MA and VT but you could just hang out here and escape it all. The road is close but still very private. Owner is super nice and communicative and Sandy the manager is just fantastic. And if the downstairs is anything like the upstairs, just know that the pictures are exactly what you get so I would trust the downstairs is as perfect as the upstairs. If you are bringing pets, they were so nice and accommodating. The rules are crystal clear and they even laid out sheets so our dogs could sit on one of the sofas with us! We'd absolutely come again!

Designed with host in mind
Pictures don’t really show it is right next to the highway. Or that you may be enjoying time in the living room when there are suddenly people able to see into your private area. Check in was a headache with additional fees buried in pages of paperwork and conditions. We felt rushed to get there on their timeline. To the user it feels like you’re requiring us to do a research project to lay our head down for two nights. And the fees felt like an upcharge sprung upon us. Fees should be built into the price structure so the price on the website is the price you pay. Forms should be requested through the app at time of check out. Guests should have one point of contact, not several who want different things. Overall we felt deeply annoyed and like we were walking on eggshell. The atmosphere was very uptight, there were all kinds of signs about what you must and must not do, but no signs saying “this is it”, “this way to hot tub,” and even though they advertise a heated pool, it was not open. I see the host’s responses to others regarding privacy but from the listing I too thought we were renting a small home off the beaten path. It’s the basement of a closed art gallery with another apartment above it and people in and out.

Early April Getaway
Me and my SO stayed during early April to celebrate our anniversary, and had a wonderful time here! The owners are very responsive and kind. 10 minutes from Bennington and Williamstown, and a convenience store was just down the street. Nice views of the sunset, plus neighboring houses that were visible, but not within earshot! Made us feel very cozy without being too far from civilization. The hot tub was clean and refreshing, but not easily accessed barefoot, so make sure you have flip flops! Inside, we had everything we needed to make small breakfast and dinner meals. The master bedroom is integrated into the living room area, which both looked nice and was convenient for just the 2 of us. The second bedroom has its own heating unit which is a nice bonus since the main heat is in the living room. Lots of delicate knick-knacks so I would be careful bringing children that like to be rowdy. Overall we had an awesome experience seeing the mountains and enjoying a soak in the hot tub after hiking local trails! Highly recommend!

Relax, Sight-see & Simply Enjoy Vermont
Every year we pick a new state to visit and this year we chose Vermont. It is a beautiful state with picturesque views and wonderful friendly people like owners, Pat and Gabe. The home is centrally located as described. We were able to visit MA and VT on this trip! There is a wealth of things to do for those who like history, art or nature. All activities are within 5 - 10 miles. Pat has a brochure in her shop that shows all of the local attractions. Pictures shown in the listing are accurate. The kitchen is larg and very easy to work in. The living area is perfect for 4 - 6 people. And, just as described, all of the beds including the sleeper sofa are very comfortable. The home was very clean. We loved swimming in the pool every day and eating the locally made ice cream every night. Gabe gave us great advice for places to eat and we were never disappointed. The bakeries in Bennington are wonderful. If you go to the Crazy Russian Girls bakery, you have to try their apricot oatmeal bread. It is delicious and filling. If we ever make our way back to Vermont, we would stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing week.

Loved it!
We arrived after dark and the property manager, Sue was kind enough to meet us and walk us through the property. She baked an amazing banana chocolate chip bread and made sure we were comfortable for the night. The apartment is very well appointed and furnished with linens, cookware, etc. We loved having a washer and dryer, hairdryer, cleaning supplies, etc. all on hand! The beds were comfortable. I do wish there had been a tv in each bedroom (you know, sometimes your little one wants to watch cartoons and you can't stand hearing Paw Patrol anymore). This is not really a place for staying inside, so others may not even notice. If you are tall or big, keep in mind this is kind of like a basement/garden apartment, so areas of the ceilings are low and the toilet is short and a little cramped between dryer and wall. Anyone 6 foot and under or not pleasantly plump won't even notice. The location is awesome! Yes, it is very quiet and rural but it is not far from Bennington, VT, NY and Pittsfield, MA. I loved exploring the area and the green grass, trees and wildflowers were amazing! The pool was still pretty chilly and had not had the green bottom/walls scrubbed before we arrived, we passed. It is nice to have available during a warmer time of the summer. They even had pool toys and outside grill available! We were lucky most of the stay because we did not have upstairs neighbors. The last night two kids happened to be staying above and we could hear running feet and noise. Luckily, it was the last night and we were out early the next day. You could not find a nicer place to stay in this area. The hosts have great taste and really have a great vacation home. We loved it.

Almost Worst Vacation Ever
After a 4 hour drive with our 7 year old son and dog in the car, we were looking forward to getting to the house and looking around. We arrived early and called to see if we could come by. We were firmly told no by Gabe, so had to keep driving until 4pm. When we finally arrived at 4pm, the owners told us that the previous renters had trashed the place, and caused huge plumbing issues. The plumber had just left, their regular cleaning person was not available, and they had to do the cleaning, which we were told would not be as good as the cleaning person. We had sympathy for their situation, and knew that it was completely out of their control. When we initially rented the apartment, it was the only rental unit on the property and nobody else was going to be there. After arriving, we were told that there would be people staying above us and the owners still needed to clean the other unit before their arrival. So much for their quiet hours because we were kept awake until almost midnight by vacuuming above our heads. We also received an email from the owners late that night asking us to keep our very friendly son away from the other renters because it seemed like it was a special event for them and they didn't want them to be disturbed by his chattiness. This really got us worked up since there was not supposed to be anybody else there, and since we were going to be below them, we were clearly the ones who were going to be disturbed. The next morning, our son went to go to the bathroom and told us there was water on the floor. The entire bathroom was flooded and the bedroom where our son was sleeping quickly became flooded with toilet water (not the nice smelling kind) as well. We immediately called Gabe, and the property manager. The property manager was terrific and came over right away and contacted a plumber. Gabe was apologetic but wanted us to wait around to see what was going to happen before we decided whether or not we were going to stay. Since dealing with other peoples plumbing issues while breathing sewage fumes is not my idea of a good vacation, I frantically tried to find a place that was available and could take our dog. Gabe said he would reimburse us 100% and we confirmed this with him after leaving. When we got our credit card statement there was no refund so we had to open a dispute. We got our money back and wound up finding a nicer place to stay but the experience with how the owners handled things left a bad taste in my mouth.

gorgeous !
My partner, puppy and I came up for a long weekend whilst attending a podcast festival in North Adams. Sandy, the property manager, was a total gem. We were spoiled with the most beautiful mid-October weather, but the energy/aesthetic of the Garden apartment was the cherry on top of an incredible weekend.
