Poulsbo Marina and Olympic Hideaway View

Stunning views of Poulsbo marina and Olympic Mountains. Centrally located on Kitsap Peninsula with easy day trips to Seattle, Port Townsend, and the Olympics. Downstairs apartment in older home is one block from town with famous Sluys bakery and galleries. Includes bedroom with view of marina, side deck off bedroom, private bath with large soaking tub, small exercise room/office space, and living room with full-size fridge, microwave, toaster oven, and coffee pot. Laundry with arrangement. Quiet neighborhood so please be respectful with noise.

This is a cute downstairs apartment with a nice side deck right outside your bedroom door with a view of the marina and lots of fresh sea air!

Although there is no kitchen with stove or sink, I have the basics (fridge, microwave, etc) as listed. Private entrance is down a short but semi-steep incline from the parking space.

Bathroom has large soaking tub (the jets do not work) and a bidet toilet with heated seat.

Sauna works great but the interior light does not work and they don't make that part anymore. I have a new heat/AC pump that works great.

Washer and dryer available on arrangement with me since it's not in the apartment (but just outside the door across the hallway).

Since I live upstairs, I'm available to meet you when you arrive and are available by phone or text to answer any questions and help make your stay wonderful! I can also answer any questions about local events or places to visit. Plus, I'll have a binder of local information available.

Beach Access: There is no beach access from the property; the stairs near the entrance are the neighbor's private property. There is beach access nearby that I have listed in my house notebook.

Smoking: I have a no smoking policy inside the apartment or on the premises because I’m highly allergic to cigarette smoke.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was just up the street from the main drag, which gave us a place to park. The view from the bedroom was beautiful. Would definitely stay again.

My wife and I celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary in Poulsbo and stayed at Carols lovely abode. I have nothing bad to say about our experience there. Carol was very accommodating and her vrbo was perfect for us. If you're looking for a low key private place to stay, this is it. Thank you Carol for a wonderful weekend.

Excellent experience and communicative, respectful host. Beautiful view location and clean, spacious accommodations. Legitimate easy walking distance to marina and downtown shopping and restaurants. This would be the only place I would ever want to stay in Poulsbo. Very highly recommended.

Short but Sweet Stay.
This was the perfect place for us to stay. We needed a place that was close to the Bainbridge ferry, and this cute place was perfect. The views of the marina were great, and our host provided little treats for us. The bookshelf was well stocked in case it was a rainy day. Although we were didn’t stay long, we would book this again.

Great place to stay!
Booked this during a short trip in the area, was the perfect place between Seattle and Olympic National Park. Very spacious, was very neat and had an amazing view from the bedroom of the water. Plenty of entertainment provided as well from tons of books, dvds and streaming. Carol was a great host and if I’m in the area again I’m definitely booking this same location!

Short walk to town
Rental quaint and cozy. Well appointed in an older home. View of the bay and marina unsurpassed. Very short walk to downtown. Downtown was fun with a terrific accessible waterfront and great galleries restaurants and shops. Much mote fun than a motel room.

Poulsbo is a Beautiful town with great dining, and our lodging was a short walk away from all the action in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful view of Liberty Bay! We look forward to coming back!

Perfect Spot
Carol was extremely communicative and accommodating. She has a wonderful place. You can see the peninsula and marina from the bedroom window, it was beautiful! We didn't use the sauna which was a big regret. The place is literally 5 minutes walk to the town of Poulsbo. Breweries, wine tasting, famous bakery, bars with great food cool shops. It was great. Will 100% want to come back.

Perfect Family Stay
We came to the area for our son's graduation at Ft. Benning and this was a perfect place to stay. Modern, spacious, clean and comfy and everything we needed in a beautiful neighborhood. Michelle was a wonderful host. I would definitely recommend. ❤️

Always a pleasure
First of all, the stay is just lovely. Quiet, beautiful lookout of where the marina. Beautiful in any weather. My husband and I get out to stay the night or two at least a couple times a year if possible. It is a sanctuary. Carol is so friendly and almost always will greet us very briefly as she's going out for her walk and we're coming in to stay. Always a smile. Everything clean and fresh, right down to the little candy dish that she replenishes with a variety of thoughtful little treats . Just love staying here.

Don't let the exterior fool you. When you pull up it looks like you're in the wrong place because it just looks like someone's home. And it is upstairs but when you check in with the helpful sweet lady you're directed to go down the driveway below where it opens into an amazing apartment. All the amenities you could possibly think of are there not just little tiny hotel shampoos but full size bottles of expensive stuff. And on and on. Is well stocked with everything you might need. We plan on going again and again. Poulsbo is a pleasant quiet little town down in this area. In Old Town you can see many shops and feel very comfortable and safe. The time we were there it was very quiet and soothing. Just what we needed to relax for our anniversary. Book this soon it's a wonderful place.

All about the location and views!
Stayed here with my significant other (SO). Restaurants and shops were walking distance. The room includes a sauna which we sadly never used, but the big bath tub was large enough for my SO to hop in with me (he's 6'3"). Views of the water were wonderful and soothing. The room was quiet, I didn't have any issue sleeping through the seagulls squawking early in the morning but they woke my SO (we had a good laugh about it in the morning). The only downside was that the wall AC unit really struggled (I believe that day there was a heat wave). We opened a window in the evening and moved a fan near the window, and it was fine (note that the AC issue isn't something we brought up to our host; it was wonderfully cool to us in the evening with a window open, and therefore this was a non-issue).

There's Nothing We Would Change
This was our annual mother-daughter weekend and one of our most favorite places we've ever stayed in! As a cozy extension to her home, our host Carol made sure to include all the delightful little comforts one would miss by staying in a generic hotel room--blankets and throws, books and DVD’s, a Himalayan salt lamp, flowers on the back deck, sparkling clean, cute eclectic decor, and complete privacy. From a dreamy autumn view of the misty marina in the morning, to the generously sized bathroom to the unique marble table food prep area, we couldn’t think of anything more we needed. I appreciated that there were plenty of comfy spots to sit and relax, with numerous areas to plug in and charge phones and electronics. It was perhaps a little too comfortable as I was tempted to just curl up all day with a good book! But, coming and going was a snap with electronic entry so we didn’t have more keys to juggle. It is in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, but amazingly, under a 5 minute walk to the waterfront park of “Little Norway” with walking trails, restaurants, bakeries, coffee and gift shops so parking issues were non-existent. We didn't even get to enjoy the wooden deck out back with a splendid view of the bay, or use of the exercise equipment that was so thoughtfully provided in the enclosed porch. Needless to say, the unbelievable bonus wood sauna right in the living room just put it over the top after an exhilarating day hiking through magnificent conifer forests on the nearby Olympic Peninsula and driftwood-laden beaches on Puget Sound. A big thank you to Carol for the great communication and warm welcome. I wouldn't change a thing, other than staying longer the next time!
