Elegant PNW Waterfront Beach House with Pickleball

Summary:
Welcome to Agate Beach House, the ultimate Pacific Northwest beach vacation experience.

This property has been in the Schanno family for decades, first acquired by their grandfather, who fell in love with the beauty of Agate Passage and envisioned a place for family gatherings by the water. The current home was newly built by his grandchildren, who wanted to preserve the family’s connection to this special location while creating a high-end, comfortable retreat for both family and guests.

The Space:
This picturesque, 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom property features 100 feet of unobstructed waterfront views with a bulkhead and 8-step stairway down to the beach. Thoughtfully designed with a balance of elegance and warmth, Agate Beach House carries forward their legacy as a place where lifelong memories are made.

This beautiful, recently built, Nantucket-style home boasts amazing waterfront views, a comfortable, upscale beachy design aesthetic, and luxurious in-home amenities. Nestled in a tranquil, private neighborhood on Agate Passage in Poulsbo, WA, this magical property is a serene escape for guests and perfect for families, kids, and groups of friends.

Enjoy great beach walks, shell and crab-hunting during low tide, and fun kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, and fishing at high tide. This home also includes a large, beautifully landscaped yard, a hugely popular pickleball court, an outdoor fire pit, a BBQ area, and a number of outdoor spaces for lounging and playing. Kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, life preservers, pickleball paddles/balls, water toys, badminton, bocce ball, and cornhole sets are also available for guests.

This house sleeps 9 with plenty of space for everyone to unwind. It features an open great room with a gas fireplace perfect for relaxing and a fully stocked kitchen with high-end appliances & cookware, a gas range/stove, and a coffee/tea bar. There are 4 bedrooms, each with luxury linens, TVs, and water views. The 3 bathrooms include tiled showers (1 with a bathtub), luxury shampoos, towels, and hairdryers. Board games, card games, and fun vacation books are also available, along with AC and Guest Wi-Fi. Beautiful artwork is showcased throughout the home, including a piece that will excite fans of the Twilight book and movie series based in Washington State.

At night, the ambiance in this luxurious home transitions from “light and airy” during the day to “comfy, moody, and intimate” at night. The covered outdoor deck includes Adirondack chairs for taking in the breathtaking views and diverse wildlife, including bald eagles, seals, otters, bunnies, deer, orcas, and other marine and birdlife. On clear nights, you can enjoy the stars and twinkling lights from the homes across Agate Passage, along with the peaceful moonlight reflecting on the water.

As prior guests have shared, this home is “majestic, magical, in a storybook setting.” It’s also “immaculate and stocked with anything and everything you could possibly need and more. All you need to bring is food and clothes.”

Whether you're exploring the nearby attractions, attending a wedding, extending your visit to Seattle after a cruise to Alaska, or simply enjoying the peaceful ambiance, make your vacation one for the books with a stay at our place. It's the perfect vacation spot all year round—beautiful summers and sunrises, gorgeous fall colors and sunsets, cozy winters by the fire. On clear days, you can see the top of Mt. Rainier on the horizon. And if you're really lucky, you might even see a bald eagle snatch a salmon out of the water or a pod of orcas swim by for the ultimate Pacific Northwest vacation experience.

Great New Year's getaway in Poulsbo.
We had to cancel our holiday travel plans after the flu swept through our house and were looking for an easy local getaway at the last minute. We were incredibly lucky to find this beautiful, new and fully stocked house right on the beach in Poulsbo. The house has everything you could possibly need for relaxing, cooking, entertaining, and enjoying the outdoors. The kitchen was fully stocked with high-quality cookware, appliances, dinnerware, etc, There were also dozens of coffees and teas available and the property manager dropped off some tasty fresh baked bread and jam for us. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all spacious (there were only 3 of us but you could fit 6-9 people comfortably) and the beds were very comfortable. The owners of this home really spared no expense to make guests feel completely at home and at ease here and the property manager was super-responsive to all our requests before and during our stay.Other highlights: - The house is right on the water, so we enjoyed beautiful views from almost every room and got to see (and hear) plenty of harbour seals- Aveda and Kiehls products in every shower- Fans in every bedroom (there's central air and heat, but one of us can't sleep unless it feels like an igloo)- Plenty of extra firewood and tools for making s'mores- Very nice bed and bath linens and comfortable pillows- Great location. Easy drive to Winslow, the shops and restaurants in Poulsbo, and a massive Town and Country grocery store.
