"My daughter and I had a wonderful time in New Milford and at the Homestead Inn. First and foremost, the staff was wonderful and welcoming. We were greeted upon arrival and Antonio offered many helpful suggestions regarding area eateries and things to do - even places to park on our side trip to Yale in New Haven! Catherine was also very accommodating, going to extra lengths to assure that my daughter with food allergies was safe. The property was very clean and the area very charming....

"There is a tiny little wooden bridge at the entrance of the driveway and the mailbox is on the opposite side of the road from the house. A doe was keeping watch on the mailbox when we arrived after dark. And check out the night sky!"

"Our stay was rather disappointing. The property seems neglected. Some lightbulbs in the bathroom were not working . The coffee maker was really filthy inside. Instead of breakfast we were offered some packaged pastry from a gas station. Plus, there were a bunch of insects in the room. "The owners did masterful work restoring this home yet paid so much attention in providing up-to-date amenities that people have come to expect. Every convenience was thought of and there were wonderful treats and surprises at every turn. I particularly enjoyed their love of the Hudson River School and all of the lovely artwork represented from room to room. Local history is honored in the house and their knowledge of it is vast. "
