Double booked

There was another booking for this property for the night that I was supposed to be there. The manger contacted me and offered me another property that was clean, comfy, and meet all of the expectations lined out. I was slightly disappointed, but there was no change in amenities, and the new location was actually closer to where i needed to be so it worked out better for me.

My husband and I stayed here for our 3rd anniversary and had a nice, relaxing weekend! Our favorite part is that it was within walking distance of the lake! The private beach was very nice! Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to get away from the city and just enjoy some down time!

Rustic Bungalow

Place was excellent for a family. Perhaps a couple there is a jacuzzi. Not far from the lake at all, with really nice neighbors, JB showed us the private beach.

Fabulous 4th weekend

We enjoyed our stay. We were mostly out and about so we didn't get to take advantage of the hot tub. We love the lake atmosphere here and enjoyed the firework show. We will definitely be back!!!

Beautiful, comfy home & kind neighborhood!

My girlfriend and I loved staying here! We went for a fishing trip and we absoutely loved it. She went on and on about how cute the house was. We grilled fish that we caught and then watched movies together. We loved the TV that we could rotate so we could watch on the bed or couches. There were clean dishes, pots and pans, clean bedding, multiple clean towels, napkins, etc! Everything was wonderful. Thank you!

Nice place as a fishing cabin

We enjoyed the area and the lake. But, the cabin was not really for us. The kitchen is a true kitchenette without running water. The outside kitchen worked with a griddle and a grill that needs to be replaced. Overall, the cabin needs a good cleaning and "refreshing."

Worst trip ever

Did not get to stay at the property I paid for!!!! Got placed in an RV with no hot water for the first day and a half. Did not have a stove to use because the propane tank was empty until 2:00pm of the following day. Did not have an outside grill to use until 6:30pm the following day. No TV, radio, yard was overgrown and not maintained. We were given multiple excuses about why we could not stay in the unit we reserved on 5-4-2022. We got a phone call the day while on the toll road traveling to our destination saying the AC unit was out. and they could put us in another location. We were offered our money back but after the drive figured we would make the best of it. The longer we were there the worst things got! The following day the weather cooled off so while we were at breakfast in town my wife called and told Lauren that we would like to go into the unit we rented because we would not need AC. She responded that the unit would need to be cleaned and we said that would be fine and we would run errands in town. before we even left breakfast we got another call saying that now there was something wrong with the electric. They simply refused us access to the unit we paid for! At 5:00pm the night before we were supposed to leave the "host" came by and told us some other units had become available if we wanted to move to one. We did not see the point in that since check out was the next day at 11:am. An hour and a half later the toilet in the RV backed up and started draining on the floor so at that point we were left with no choice but to be uprooted and go to another unit! I do not see how people like this are allowed on the VRBO site or any other rental site. I will discourage anyone to not use this site site to rent anything!!! I will also be disputing the charges on my credit card because I did not get what I paid for in any shape or form!!

Beware!

When we first arrived we were not very impressed with the location. The surrounding houses were not so taken care of. When we 1st pulled up to the house I was in shock. It was not at all what they showed on the pictures. The grass was so overgrown that it came to my shins. The horse shoe game that they offer was overgrown with grass that if wanted to you couldn't play. The front of the house looked as if it had not been cleaned in months. There were dead flowers in all the flower beds. All down the front of the house there was leaves and dirt bunched up against the house. The outside furniture was very dirty. The kitchenette that they have outside on the deck was not cleaned and their were spider webs everywhere. The hot tub smelled so bad of chlorine. The lights around the deck didn't work. There was a dumpster that was overflowing with garbage and the smell was so horrible. At this point haven't even entered the house. This was all outside. Well upon entering the home the door was rotted at the bottom and the door latch looked like someone tried to kick it in because it was bent and and also looked as if that wood was rotted. The black molding for the door was torn at the bottom. Looking into the home it looked alright. It would have been doable but there is more. My husband sat on the little sofa they have in there & he completely sunk in. The couch was broke. When he went to get up I looked and seen in the couch between the cushion there was nasty food crumbs and dirt in it. Looking at the bigger couch there was concrete blocks holding that couch up and also that one was broke. I sat down and sunk past my knees. The kitchen table was broke. The leaf to the table would not even hold up. The bathroom sink and shower drains would not drain. The plugs stayed down and would not stay up so the water could drain. The shower water barley came out. I mean it was like a dribble. The beds were old and when u laid down they swallowed you. The beds both had a nasty smell to them. Upon further review I seen tons of dirt along the walls of the home and bugs! Needless to say I will never rent this place again! Just to verify I also have pictures of this home and what it really looks like. Also I never contacted the owner me and my husband just left and considered it wasted weekend. The only reason I am writing this review is to let other renters know what they are getting into.

Bungalow No

The pictures and descriptions are a bit deceptive and outdated. There is no kitchen in the Bungalow- just an outdoor sink and grills that were dirty. There were ants all along the exterior of the house which found their way to my car and a sucker my daughter left in the door. She screamed going home afraid of ants. The toilet and sink inside were stopped up. The main light didn’t work on the fan even after a handyman came to repair it. Dishes were dirty when we arrived and there was even ketchup on the ceiling? The beach had glass shards, I left some in a bowl on the sink in the bathroom from a path I made for the kids to walk through. I appreciate the rustic charm they were going for and can see what it once was, but it is definitely needing some tlc now.
