Disliked: Cleanliness
Efficient use of space but dirty
On the positive side, great location, and views of the city (we were on the 21st floor). The room was small but well designed and perfect for our needs with all the stuff you need like a shower and WiFi and plenty of towels, and nothing you don’t (tv).
Unfortunately the place was dirty when we got there and didn’t get any better through our three night stay - it wasn’t cleaned once, despite me mentioning it to staff on the first night (and being fobbed off). There was dirt and hair just pushed into the corners of the room, dust everywhere and the communal kitchen had an overflowing, stinking bin.
The mattress was terrible - threadbare and several years past it’s best and in no way fitting for any place where people are paying to stay. You could feel the springs digging into you.
You expect this level of hospitality from a hostel but not for £80(!) a night.
It’s funny that in reception there are photos of all the management staff smiling away - I wouldn’t want my picture up if I ran a place that badly!
