A 2 bedroom, completely restored property on the shore of Loch Mealt.
This has been a labour of love for those involved in the project.
Unique in Skye. In a great place to see the Aurora Borealis if it is active.
Fully equipped kitchen:
Washer dryer, dishwasher, oven, hob, fully integrated fridge freezer and much more including a working fire place.
Delightful views from both bedrooms and the bathroom over the loch to Kilt Rock viewpoint.
A short distance from the Quiraing and just north of the Old Man of Storr, an ideal quiet place from which to explore Skye.
A great place for families, romantic getaways, escapism!

Sublime stay at Lochside
We would highly recommend staying at Lochside. It was peaceful and every need was catered for. A welcoming bottle of wine and wood for the fire. The views of the swans on the loch were heavenly. Lochside was just a beautiful place to soak in a little bit of Skye.

Absolutely wonderful!
Peacefully set on a lake, everything we needed and wanted. Washer /dryer. Clean and well kept. Hiking/sightseeing nearby. The perfect place to relax and get away.

Beautiful property in a beautiful location.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was just as pictured and extremely clean. The setting was peaceful and in a great location for the areas we wanted to explore. Loved the location and house
The house has been beautifully renovated, but the best aspect is its location - no neighbours (other than sheep !), overlooking a loch, superbly quiet - a wonderful place to get away from it all. It is about a half hour drive north of Portree - which is a very scenic drive unto itself, and certainly worth the drive. A wonderful place to stay - we'd return anytime.

Location, location, location
Within the easiest reaches of Quiraing and the Old Man. It was great to come back to a nice and warm home after a big hike. The communication was clear and constant. I would definitely stay again.

Amazing view
The property is superbly located on a loch and has a great view. Ideal for trips to Quiraing and Old Man of Storr. Kilt Rock is within walking distance but was closed during our stay due to building work. The house was well equipped and had everything you could wish for. If I come back to Skye some day, I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent 6 Nights
Had another fantastic stay at Lochside. This property is fantastic. Ideally located in a quiet location near to the small loch. We love coming here and we are sure to be back soon. Everything you need to prepare food is available (make sure you get our supplies in Portree before you head up, there is a small store in Staffin for milk and other bits and pieces). It's easy to get to most places from the property in the car. About a 30min drive back down to Portree. The Quaraing is a 10 min drive and is well worth a few visits. We are looking forward to our next visit to Skye and to Lochside.

Everything great but beds.
Beautiful house, only complaint is the beds were very uncomfortable, like felt mattress springs digging into you uncomfortable. For a place this expensive, why not update the mattresses? Also, we knew it would be this way going into it, but you really are remote. If you like being closer to restaurants, shops etc. this is not the place. But if you like being remote, this is the place! Otherwise very clean, beautiful property, bath rooms are phenomenal!

The Isle of Skye is one of our favorite places to visit, and Lochside added to our enjoyment. Comfortable, tastefully decorated, with stunning views, Lochside does not disappoint. Highly recommend.

Fantastic stay
We had a wonderful 3-day stay. The house was wonderful, well equipped and had amazing views to the lake. It was also really close to the Old man storr and many other must visit places. Perfect choice to stay at Skye for a couple of days!

The best accommodation in Scotland
We had a road trip in Scotland staying at various private houses and this one was the best out of all. The location is stellar - right next to the scenic waterfalls and the iconic Quiraing hiking trail. The place is uniquely quiet and serene. Highly recommend.

Absolutely stunning views!
This was a fabulous house. The views were amazing. Do keep in mind, it is a distance from Portree. Not too far for a visit, but not great for dinner with drinks. There was a nice little market in Staffin to grab things without heading to Portree. Best thing was being able to visit the falls across the street after the crowds have gone. We had it all to ourselves! House had all we needed, including a wonderful little chicken that stopped by daily to visit!
