This is a second-floor apartment located on 762 Congress Street. This apartment is in the same building as 981822. Property is located next to the Longfellow Boutique Hotel and Francis Boutique Hotel. We offer a very affordable nightly rate in an amazing location. Feel free to reach out directly to me to book or ask any questions.

The apartment is furnished with everything you need to enjoy a weekend stay in Portland. We do not have any CABLE TV. Just WIFI for Netflix, ext.

The West End is a downtown neighborhood in Portland, Maine. It is located on the western side of Portland's peninsula primarily on Bramhall Hill and is noted for its architecture and history. The neighborhood is home to a large number of historic homes and parks and, in 2010, it was called "one of the best-preserved. The apartment is located in the West End where you will see the most amazing sunsets over the infamous Western Prom. This is the go-to spot for those who want a panoramic view of the sunset over the city. The park sits on a hill, giving you an unobstructed view of the sun dipping below the horizon. It's a popular spot to bring a blanket and soak in that golden hour glow.

The apartment is located at the Corner of Neil and Congress #762. Directly across the building is Roma, Bramhall Pub, Wakefield, Francis Boutique Hotel and next door is Longfellow Inn and the infamous Brakes & Shock Bakery. Maine Medical is 4
blocks walking distance away. There is a large classic entryway hallway off of
Congress Street and staircase that leads you up to the third floor. There is also a smaller back staircase in the building that can be entered via the driveway. There is off-street parking that is available for one car which is needed in Portland!

We also offer all utilities included in fee and onsite washer/dryer on the 1st floor.
The maximum number of adults in this apartment is 2 adults.

The apartment photgraphs well, but does not live up to the photos. The cord for the fan in the bedroom is very short and only reached by standing on the bed. Back stair door tied open with a dog leash (really?). Dirt and dust from holes in brick wall behind the kitchen sink. King bed too big for that room - hard to walk around. Closet is poor; dresser drawer handles broken. Duct tape over pocket doors between LR and DR. Owner needs better arrangement for trash besides telling us to either buy the city bags or take it daily to a trash can at a gas station. Did not enjoy this VRBO

Great stay
My husband and I stayed here with our two year old daughter and had a great time! We didn't have a car and didn't need one, it was a bit of a hike into town but we were happy to walk and enjoyed exploring the west end neighborhood nearby. The apartment is very large and sunny! Both the bed and couch felt a little old and saggy but we still slept fine.

Weekend in Portland
This apartment looked just like the pics. It was cozy and convenient to all things. A little Bit of a walk to downtown, but an Uber back was less expensive than parking! The property was comfortable, neighborhood was quiet. Apartment came with all things you need. Host was a great communicator and available if we needed anything- which we didn’t! Highly recommend this property.

Amazing stay in Portland
This house is conveniently located to all the touristy spots and restaurants in Portland. The owner was very communicative and gave us directions to enter the house. Despite being on the main road and kinda next door to a firehouse it was quiet in the house. My only grub is the real early checkin but apart from that I would say we got everything we needed to stay while roaming around Portland

Great, large apartment!
This was our first time in Portland and we really enjoyed staying here. The apartment is cute, well stocked and in a good location. Having so many fans was helpful. My only gripe is that the only mirror is the bathroom vanity. I would have loved a full length mirror to use. Other than that, It felt like a home away from home.

Very convenient location in Portland
The apt is in a great location. It's 15-20 min walk to ALL of Old Port. The Bramhall Pub is a great speakeasy directly across the street for a nightcap. There are 2 excellent coffee shops within 2 mins walk. Salvage BBQ is about 2 blocks away where you can get some awesome BBQ (hard to find outside of TX). You are also about 15 min from Hadlock Field, home of the Sea Dogs. All in all a nice place. The biggest drawback is the construction around the apt. Makes it a bit of a pain to get in and out of the apt parking but that's not a deal breaker. Landlord is a good guy - communication is easy. Stay here, you won't be disappointed

Perfect spot, great trip
Brad’s apartment was in an amazing location and very spacious for the two of us. It is well kept and everything was clean and safe. Had everything we needed for our week long trip. We were first time Maine visitors and were so happy to realize we were in such an easily accessible area. The pictures don’t do it justice!

Very interesting apartment built in 1924 with a lot of charm
The apartment was cozy and we loved all the amenities however the owner had a few problems that I'm sure he has fixed by now. The heater didn't work, the shower needed repair and the TV wasn't working. But Portland Maine is a very interesting historic town and we enjoyed being there

The apartment was roomy and very nicely decorated. It was comfortable and convenient to great restaurants. This has nothing to do with the apartment, but there was very noisy construction right in front of the building. Also, the parking situation was extremely tight but was fine once we got the hang of it. I have sleep issues so a bed couch would have been helpful as I never sleep well when not at home. That being said, it still was a great place to stay and the owner was very responsive.

OK for short periods, not ideal for extended stays
My partner and I stayed in this apartment for a month. In retrospect, there were a few things I would have liked to know about the apartment upfront, including: -The bathroom was always wet. Water leaked onto the floor from the shower, and inexplicably, there was condensation 24/7 around the outside of the toilet. -Furniture that looks good in listing photos but do not hold up with use. The drop-leaf table dining table, for example, couldn't bear any weight on two sides without toppling over, the desk wobbled, and you could feel metal digging into your back while sitting in certain positions on the couch. -Extensive dust and dirt in low-to-medium trafficked places. This apartment did not feel professionally cleaned between guests and could really use a deep clean. -Lack of basic supplies. There was very little toilet paper and hand soap when we arrived and no extras provided, such that on day 2 of a 30-day stay, we had to stock up ourselves. -Amenities listed were not actually easily accessible. There was a laundry machine in the "utility room" on the first floor, but the utility room was piled with trash and dirty laundry when we arrived (and someone seemed to live in it at times?) so was not a place where we felt comfortable doing laundry. -Neighborhood has good walkability to downtown, but the immediate surrounding streets did not feel the safest. I experienced multiple instances of being yelled at / cat-calls while walking alone. Had we known about these things, we likely would have chosen to stay elsewhere for our trip. These things would have been tolerable if our stay were only for a weekend, but over multiple weeks, these small inconveniences added up to a less than ideal long-term stay.

OK, even pretty, for a last minute find
A nice, spacious apartment on the edge of downtown at the top of a tortuous staircase with no railing. Manager responsive when... convenient to him? Pretty place that could have used more towels (no hand towel), a bathmat etc. (although well supplied with tech). For the price, we expected a little more...

Portland congress st apt
Owner was very responsive throughout the process from prior to the arrival, check in and check out. The apartment was very clean with expected amenities. Parking is very tight (expected in Portland), we had a full sized truck and was able to park in the driveway, but that may not always be possible (appreciated the owners quick response). We did not cook in the apt, but the appliances seemed to all be in working order. The downside was several drafty windows (bathroom window couldn't close properly). The heat worked well but the draft caused the heat to cycle continually (owner was made aware after we left). The bed had a big sag in the middle - we made it work for our stay, and the owner was notified.
