Great base for exploring Algarve, surfing, festivals or golfing. Take your pick from the nearby beaches - Praia da Rocha, Praia do Vau, or the secluded Praia dos Três Castelos

The house is located in Portimao old town center right by the restaurants quarter and next to Promenade. Retaining its rich heritage of a historic fishermen town the city is in midst of unprecedented investment and modernisation.

Welcome to our charming fisherman's house located in the historic Ribeirinha area of Portimao, Portugal. This picturesque neighborhood is known for its colorful houses, narrow streets, and stunning views of the Arade River. As your Airbnb host, I am excited to give you a glimpse into what makes our location so special.

First and foremost, our fisherman's house is the perfect place to experience the local culture and way of life. The Ribeirinha area has been inhabited since Roman times and is steeped in history. You can wander through the streets and discover hidden treasures such as the Chapel of St. Anthony or the Museum of Portimao.

The house itself is a traditional fisherman's cottage that has been lovingly restored to preserve its original charm while providing modern amenities for your comfort. The interior is bright and airy, with whitewashed walls. There are two/three bedrooms, a cozy living room, and a fully equipped kitchen.

One of the highlights of our fisherman's house is the rooftop terrace with 3rd external shower and loungers; which offers views of the river and the historic skyline of Portimao. It's the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine
The Ribeirinha historic area is also home to some of the best restaurants in Portimao, where you can sample fresh seafood and local specialties. You can enjoy a meal on one of the many outdoor terraces overlooking the river or take a short walk to the nightlife of the town center or Rocha Beach,

We’re a few minutes drive from the most popular beaches: praia da rocha, praia do alemão, praia do vau, prainha, 3 irmãos, Ferragudo and Alvor (where our sister property is).
Walk to Praia da rocha takes 25 mins but the shuttle bus takes you from the doorstep in 5 mins as does Uber or car. There’s also plenty bike and scooter rental options to enjoy the town and surrounding area.

Go Golfing: If you are a golf enthusiast, Portimao is the perfect destination for you. The town is home to several golf courses, including the Alto Golf and Country Club and the Penina Golf Resort.

The property has been thoughtfully designed with tasteful decor pieces that transform this narrow former fisherman’s house into a characterful holiday townhouse placed right by the restaurants area and harbour offering freshly caught seafood and traditional Portuguese dishes. With Two full bathrooms plus rooftop outdoor shower it’s ideal for couples as well as small groups of friends and families. On the ground floor you’ll find comfortable living room with dining area as well as the fully equipped kitchen (including full size fridge, hob with oven, microwave, dishwasher etc.)
To the first floor accessed through traditional staircase you’ll find the master bedroom with king size bed and premium mattress, bathroom with walk in shower, further on is a walk-through small single bedroom. 2nd floor is accessed through a striking, showered in light metal staircase. On the 2nd floor you’ll find a double bedroom with with its own bathroom and 1st terrace access. The smaller terrace is partially roofed. There, you’ll find the utility cabinet with washing machine. Taking stairs further up you’ll enter the roof terrace covering full footprint of the house with comfortable sun beds.
The 90m2 property benefits from super fast fibre WI-Fi allowing for both work and streaming your favourite NETFLIX or cable shows on our large high def TV or own devices. Great base for exploring beaches of algarve, surfing, festivals or golf.

World renowned golf courses in Portimao include Penina Golf club and Alto Golf Club.
