Praia da Rocha has a stretch of sand that covers a total area of around 146,000 m², along 1.5 km of coastline. The beach owes its name to the rocks that lie between the sand and the sea. It is one of the most famous in the Algarve, if not in the entire country. Every year, during the summer, the beach is filled with tourists from all over the world. In recent years, it has hosted the Beach Football Mundialito, which is played in a stadium built for this purpose and which has a capacity for 3000 people.
