"This motel was conveniently located in the heart of Haines, had clean and cozy rooms and offered a free continental breakfast for the morning after (which was amazing and had everything we wanted!) as well as stunning ocean views. The staff was both extremely friendly and accommodating. Our next visit to Haines will be here!"

"The Westmark/Holland America hotel. The front desk people were very helpful & accomodating. The room with 2 Queen beds is small & feels a bit tight. There is no coffee, microwave or refrig in the room & no free breakfast. The bathrooms have been updated but there are no towel bars to hang wet towels. Crisp white sheets. They will only clean your room when requested but will happily provide extra towels if requested. We were on the street-level floor & our room faced the back of the hotel. We had a mountain view-hard not to have one in Skagway, but it was also faced where all the deliveries and trash pickup happened, so it was a noisey especially trash pick up early morning. Guest laundry was reasonable. 1.50 for wash, 1.00 for 45 minute dryer. 2 of each with ironing board & iron. Front desk happy to provide change. Hotel was right in town so easy walking to all stores, White Pass rail and even the docks if you don’t have much to lug, but hotel shuttle is quick and convenient- again accomodating. Hotel restaurant had a nice atmosphere, good service and food was good. All a la carte menu so a bit pricey. Main course dishes are ok portion, not large, and vegetable dish is enough for 2 people. There was a small refrigerator in the lobby with sandwiches, packaged fruit and vegetable, yogurt, snacks, hard-boiled eggs, etc. for purchase. No in-room internet service. Had to go to main lobby for signal. We would stay there again, but ask for a different room location. "

"Historic place to stay in around Ft Seward. Quiet area, beautiful views and walkable to many shops and eat places in town. Good bed and great towels!"

"Very comfortable and roomy. Large living room and dining room for visiting and lounging. Host covers numerous streaming services on T.V. Kitchen dishes & glasses are generous. Nice deck at the back to enjoy the garden. Quiet at night."
