"Beautiful colonial home with modern updates. The primary bath is a dream! Adult son and I spent five wonderful nights here in mid-March. The location is fabulous - literally around the corner from all the Alexandria shops and restaurants and a block from the river walking path. Be sure to take time to walk down the path to the old light house - the most southern point of DC! "We had a nice time renting Micaela’s home. Thank you for allowing our dog to stay as well, she enjoyed the fenced in backyard. The home was in a really nice, very walkable neighborhood convenient (Dunkin and grocery store right down street) to many landmarks. The master bed was really comfy. The kitchen had everything (coffee maker didn’t work for us but we just hopped down to Dunkin) but home could have used a thorough cleaning (we’re not clean freaks either so we’re not being overly picky)....

"The property was just as it appeared in the listing. A couple small things: none of the bedrooms or bathrooms had locks (or it wasn’t intuitive how to lock doors). Also, one floor was super comfortable temperature wise, while the lower floor was pretty chilly. Overall, we loved the proximity to restaurants and coffee shops and strongly recommend as an option. "We really enjoyed our stay. The location in Old Town Alexandria is great. We were two blocks off of King Street where all the action is and there is a free shuttle to take you down to the riverfront. It will also take you to the Metro station which is a great way to go back and forth to the city so that you don’t have to deal with parking, though the Metro station is also just a short walk from the property so you don’t have to ride the shuttle.
