The Nest by Afan Valley Escapes

Summary:
A delightful 2 bedroom apartment with stunning views of the Afan Forest and Valleys. The Nest is fully equipped over 2 floors, including a shower room, living room, smart TV and fully equipped kitchen. The washing machine is in the basement. A Travel Cot is available on request (we do NOT supply bedding for this). There is a lovely shared rear garden looking out over the Afan Forest Park. This is via external steps down to the garden at the far end of the building next to the Nook. Well behaved dogs are allowed with prior notice.

Whether you want to go mountain biking in the Afan Forest Park or just want to get away from it all in this peaceful part of Wales, this property has everything you need for that home from home feeling. Situated over 2 floors.

A stunning large shower room, living room with smart TV and fully equipped kitchen. Please note the 3rd bed is a fold up bed and is stored in the wardrobe. A Travel Cot is available on request (we do NOT supply the bedding for the travel cot). Hair dryer is provided.

Parking is unrestricted on the street and there is a shared garden which you can access at the far end of the building next to The Nook.

Guest Access:
The property is self check in using the key box outside the property. You will receive a code within 48 hours of your check in date. You will have the whole apartment to yourself for the duration of your stay. You won't be sharing with anyone. The only shared space is the garden.

The Nest is part of a family of beautiful holiday apartments in the stunning Afan Forest Park.

The Afan Valley is renowned for attracting keen mountain bikers as well as multiple other hobbies such as fishing or long hikes/walks. The Afan Valley 12 mile walking and cycling path is easily accessible as it runs directly behind these beautiful apartments, There are also some lovely cafes, pubs and restaurants in the area.

The lovely beach of Aberavon is a short drive away as are the wonderful grounds and castle of Margam Country Park.

Known as the heart and soul of Wales, the Valleys of South Wales are a must-see destination, with Afan Valley in the very heart. A region of breath-taking natural beauty, Afan Valley is set amongst densely wooded forests and glorious countryside offering picture perfect and stunning views.

Untouched by urbanisation, this peaceful region of Wales is made up of a string of small villages, creating the perfect setting for a holiday escape. Designated a Forest Park in 1972 thanks to its lush landscape and stunning setting, this picture perfect region of South Wales is now a magnet for tourists who flock to visit the many walk and bike routes that scatter the vibrant green valleys. So much so, the area has now evolved into a hugely popular destination for outdoor activity and has become a premiere destination for world class mountain biking.

Named in the top ten places in the world to 'ride before you die', the park is home to four world class mountain bike trails and two family friendly routes, offering something for both amateur and more experienced bikers alike.

Of course, traversing around on two wheels is not the only way to discover the area and there are a variety of other outdoor pursuits to enjoy, including nature rambles and hikes, horse riding, kayaking, caving, climbing, gorge walking, fishing and visiting the spectacular waterfalls that are all in easy-reach.

You can enjoy a snack in the cafe of the South Welsh Miners Museum. or buy some local gifts to take home and enjoy from your stay in the area.

Getting Around:
There is a bus stop right outside the property, this will take you into the main town of Port Talbot.

Other Things to Note:
The additional single bed is a fold up bed. It can be found in the wardrobe of bedroom 1, along with the bedding for it.
