Afan Forest Retreat is not just for experienced mountain bikers — although the famous trails are right on the doorstep for those who want them. If you fancy a night off cooking, The Refreshment Rooms — a beautifully restored old railway station pub and restaurant — is just a short walk away and very popular with both locals and visitors.

I arrived at afan Forest retreat. And was immediately overwhelmed with the house. Stunning decor,well thought out. The owner, Linda had thought of everything,!! From spare tooth brushes.to high chairs.baby bottles. Toiletries. Basic foodstuffs etc. the rooms were well thought out.the beds super comfy. They went above and beyond. The are was stunning. The neighbours and locals friendly.linda and fran has thought of guests itenery with places to visit. Like my favourite water falls. All in all I cannot recommend this place enough. It was like a home from home. Thank you linda for a wonderful stay.and thank you fran too. Can't wait to come back!!!! From a very happy Karen Tony and boys. Xx
