Fabulous House
Loved it! Soo close to the beach! The open layout is Fabulous! We were a group of 7, plus a sweet spaniel. We enjoyed cooking every night, were very comfortable & loved having the store easy to walk to! The only problem was - we bring our boat to scallop & fish. My husband, who is very practiced and good at backing - had a real struggle getting the boat down the driveway. He had to block both lanes to get the correct angle to straighten and back down. I hope I can convince him it was worth it and stay there again next year!! We have been coming to the Cape for many years and this was all of our favorite house!! If it weren't for the boat we would want to stay there every year.

Great Location
This was a nice house, we all liked the layout. It included two bedrooms on the first floor and two on the second floor. Two of these 4 bedrooms were large enough to be considered master bedrooms. One of them was on the first floor, one on the second. The large first floor bedroom had its own bath, the large second floor bedroom shared a bath with the other second floor bedroom. It also had a nice deck right off the bedroom. Really a great layout for our group of 9 (6 adults, and 3 girls at 17, 14, 3) The kitchen was large and well equipped including some spices and other things to help prepare meals. The deck was one of my favorite places, great views, close to the water and at least partially shaded right up until about 2:00 pm. Plenty of furniture to sit on outside. I was happy to see a very clean and well maintained propane grill, however the burners did not work well and the grill, even with the propane tank valve fully open and all burners set to high, didn’t get any hotter than about 250 degrees. So not really functional as a grill. Some concerns on the property management and maintenance side: • Garbage bins were still full when we arrived on Saturday. • On garbage day (Monday) they dragged the garbage bins out to the main road, about (300 yards) to be emptied, but did not return them. We returned 2 of the 3 bins ourselves on Tuesday afternoon, then Thursday someone returned the third. • The code we were provided for the front door did not work, and after 3 calls answered by an answering machine, we were finally able to talk with someone and get a code. With the late check in time, we didn’t get into the house until almost 5:30 pm. • Access to the unit isn’t allowed until 5:00 pm, which is pretty late when you consider checkout time is no later than 10:00 am. All other units we rented through VRBO had 3:00 or 4:00 for the check in time and allowed guests to go by the property and enjoy the beach while waiting for the unit. This one said specifically not to go to the property at all. • The deck included some steel wire grid integrated into the railing. The grid is heavily rusted in many areas and could cause someone to get cut / scraped if they brushed into it or fell.

Ready for R&R
This property was perfect for much needed R&R. Convenient to local grocery (walking distance) and short drive to restaurants but away from local traffic. Property is steps to the beach. We were pleasantly surprised to find the property had a variety of spices available for meal preparation.

You can't beat being right on the beach.
The house has great potential, but wasn't as clean as I would have liked. The house allows for dogs and while that is good for many, it needs to be cleaned better because of them. The internet is not great and only works in the living room so I wouldn't plan on having internet. We killed several cockroaches in the house and apparently stayed during the worst time for horse flies (and they bite). Luckily, they were only bad for 2 days and we grabbed some repellent at the local store. We had a child under 2 and it was a bit difficult to keep him off the stairs so I would also recommend bringing a gate if you have a climber. There is a gate on the patio leading down to the beach, however there are 3 outdoor steps to get in the house so the patio is not a safe place for littles either. We had issues with our tub draining, the property management company was quick to respond however it wasn't fixed during our stay. The TV was intermittent as well. We called the property management company and they couldn't do much about this issue so we just didn't watch much TV. The kitchen is well stocked. They had everything we needed and more. The grill and picnic tables were an added bonus for outdoor dining. The location is the best part of the property as you are right on the beach and it's so easy to get to the beach with littles which was our #1 priority! The outdoor shower is magical for cleaning little ones and yourself after playing at the beach. You can even watch the sunset while showering.

Beach renovation
While I understand and support the beach renovation, i asked specifically if our house would be affected, was told no by the property manager. however, on Monday night the bulldozers had the beach shut down in front of the house. The property manager stated she could credit us one day, I wanted 2 days or I would leave and that would credit me the rest of the week. They chose to credit me. So we left on Wednesday morning. You would think as a, property manager, you would want to see what the condition of your property’s and beaches are, these people did not until I told them they would be refunding 1/2 of our stay.
