"We had a beautiful long weekend stay in this spacious and very well-appointed cabin. The owners have thoughtfully provided everything you might need in terms of supplies and appliances/equipment. The view from the living area is lovely and the backyard has great birds. No elk during our stay but maybe next time! Very quick drive to the main area of town. "

Although you aren't completely secluded from neighbors it still felt very private, and all the details were well-explained and exactly as advertised. One thing to keep in mind about the location is that it is pretty far from a real grocery store. This isn't a problem at all, just requires more planning ahead."

"The property is beautiful and we had a pleasant stay, but there are a handful of notes that would have turned this into a 5-star experience: 1) The property features two queen size beds and one twin bed. All of the mattresses are STIFF. Not firm, STIFF. We had some pretty rough nights on these. If you can't replace the mattresses, at least include some plush mattress covers. 2) The top tier balcony was off-limits, with P-touch stickers on the door demanding guests not open it. "The wife, dogs, and I stayed here to unplug during a rainy Memorial Day. This property is special! Felt like we were transported back to the 1800s (but with some key comforts like baseboard heaters). We enjoyed zoning out to the crackling fire and looking at the tides go by."

"The property is on a beautiful bay and marina. The resort is a little dated, but nevertheless extremely clean and modern in concept. Details are very obvious. In particular, I would like to commend the staff both in the Fireside Restaurant and in the hotel in general. I lost an item of some value and called back to the hotel after a few days. Not only did they have it at the front desk but they sent it to my home immediately. This was a situation which could have gone in another direction since the item was not even identifiable as mine. I am grateful to all the staff, those involved in returningi my item, and the staff encountered at check in and check out. I would love to stay here again...particularly when the weather is warmer."
