Cabin 6: This Listing is for a Three-Bedroom Cottage with one queen bed, one full bed, twin bunk beds, and a full sleeper sofa. This cottage can sleep up to 6 adults and 2 children.

This cottage is formerly the host's quarters in a line of eight vacation rental cabins right on the shore of Lake Huron. It is the perfect blend of vintage charm and modern convenience, with a fully furnished kitchen including a dishwasher, a full bathroom, living room with fireplace, and large bonus room surrounded by windows with a gorgeous view of the lake. This room opens to a beautiful deck over the water, with a built in fireplace and an incredible view of the lighthouse at the adjacent park! You can relax and watch the stunning sunrises and sunsets and view the freighters going by in between. Very little light pollution means the stargazing is out of this world!

All of our cabins have electricity, city water, heat and A/C, free WiFi, and TV! You will also find a refrigerator, stove, microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, silverware, cookware, and outdoor gas grill. This 3-bedroom cabin also has a dishwasher.

The property is located adjacent to Lighthouse Park, and we have beautiful views of the Pte. Aux Barques Lighthouse as well as breathtaking sunrises and sunsets to be enjoyed with the relaxing sound of gentle waves.

I was looking for a place to stay for the week as we worked in Bad Axe. Waaay nicer than a hotel! How nice it was after working all day to come back to this cute place. Hosts were amazing, and gave welcome advice for dining, etc.

The Perfect Holiday Hideaway
Our stay in Cabin #6 was incredible. The price and hospitality could not be beat for our week long vacation. The cabin is rustic but cozy and has all the amenities you could possibly need. Plenty to see and do in the area too. Plus you cannot beat the view of Lake Huron and the Pointe aux Barques Lighthouse just outside the window!

Great View
This is our second time staying at this place. We come in the winter just to take a weekend retreat, so it's very quiet when we're here. There is a nice back room to sit and watch the lake, where we usually eat and play cards. Place is perfect for what we need, and we'll most likelt be back again.

Had a very relaxing New Year's weekend at this cozy cottage on Lake Huron. Very vintage with a lovely updated kitchen and bathroom. Loved the dining room area with windows overlooking the Lake. Woodburing fireplace was a plus! Great experience!

Great views of Lake Huron!
This was a nice and relaxing place to stay. My husband was recovering from surgery and needed peace and quiet to heal. The views were fantastic, and the sound of the surf was soothing. We came when there was snow and ice, but the next day the sun came out and it was warm enough to melt it all. Even the day it rained had a nice sound as the rain hit the roof. And we enjoyed the swans, geese, ducks and seagulls.

Great view
Overall it was great, queen size bed was a little uncomfortable for both my hisband and I as we sunk into the middle, so he did sleep on the couch. The view was amazing, the sunset and rises were absolutely beautiful. My 94 year old grandma chose this place and it suited her well. She already wants to go back in the winter.

View from the sunroom was breath taking
The cabin is located in a secluded area and we were the only occupants of all the cabins, so this stay was extremely private. The view of Lake Huron from the sunroom is amazing. The place was clean and comfortable and had all the essentials we needed for the stay. Lighting is a little dim in the kitchen, but other than that the cabin is nice.

Winter Weekend Getaway
We came here for a winter weekend getaway with my in laws and our kids. The cabin was exactly as described - rustic, traditional and cozy. Even though there was a winter storm outside, we were warm with a fabulous view of Lake Huron. We even got to watch it turn frozen over our 3 days. TV streaming worked perfectly as did the wifi and plenty of hot water. The host was always in communication with us even though we did not have any issues.

Quiet Winter Retreat
Usually around this time of year, I like to take a weekend with my father and brother to a place where we can hang out, play cards, and simply spend time with one another. This place fit the bill perfectly. It's very secluded, especially in the winter, and it gives a spectacular view of Lake Huron. The hosts were very accommodating, and made it clear that they would be helpful any way that they could. I look forward to staying at this house again in the future.

Christmas stay
It was cozy and warm. Kitchen had everything we needed. 4 season toom is awesome. Played game there and even seen 3 swans. The only complaint i have is not enough lighting in the kitchen. Light above stove didnt work. And no light above kitchen nook. We had to eat our dinner in the 4 season room.

Great Location, restful stay
Upon walking in there was an immediate calm and welcoming atmosphere. This property was deceptively large and spacious. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you would need for meal-making. But the sunrise view you catch right off the breakfast nook was by far our favorite spot. We spent the whole day reading in the "sunroom" listening to the crashing of the waves. Our hosts were extremely friendly and communicative. If youre on the fence about booking, do it. It's so lovely and you will not be disappointed.

Peaceful, quiet, clean & so relaxing.
These hosts are doing magnificent things with the cabins on this property. We stayed in the the big one and it was delightful. All of these cabins are on the waters edge and we had lousy weather that made for excellent waves, which you can fall asleep listening to and we did. This was my entire purpose was to escape and catch up on reading, writing and photography which I did do. We stayed in the cabin without much exploring, although there is plenty of nature around the thumb region to see. I highly recommend this property and I have stayed in a handful or so, mostly in Michigan. This is a great place to escape and just relax. Thank you for sharing!

Huron City Visit
Doing a little autumn tour of the thumb area. Cottage was just what we needed: plenty of space, pleasant setting, comfortable bed and furnishings, newly redone kitchen & bathroom. We were able to relax and visit the area. Would recommend.
