Great property
This property was booked for colleagues who were carrying out work in the area. The house and location were more than suitable for their needs, and communication was great with Island Escapes who were very helpful when we needed to extend the stay. I would not hesitate to book again.

Excellently presented cottage in a perfect position.
Cottage was very well appointed with care taken over comfort, appliances ,facilities and decoration. Perfectly positioned overlooking the sea in a good spot for people watching over the small harbour and the beach. We had a thoroughly enjoyable break.

Stunning sunsets
The view of the bay and the sunsets are wonderful. Easy walking to local amenities, the only downside to this property is the parking. Would advise reversing down the road as turning can be very tricky.

Pleasant stay
The cottage was very clean and well equipped. The only issue was the heating on the ground floor as only source is the log burner logs should be provided it felt cold and damp. Parking very difficult.

Perfect location,
Looking down to the harbour, , calm and uncluttered decor with all essentials present, sitting furniture limited but thoughtful use of the small space. Good kitchen and bathroom.Only small cars could use parking outside house. Bay Hotel good ale and friendly and food better than it looks. Great bookshop. Surf's up on Sundays.

Lovely cottage / amazing location & views
Lovely cottage with amazing views in a fantastic location. The cottage was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Only negative I had was when parking outside the property it was not easy to get back out the flowing day as the cottage is in a cul-de-sac and the road is not wide enough to turn in, there is plenty on parking just down from the property on the sea front but the path back up to the cottage is quite steep which could be a problem for some people. I must also recommend the pizza restaurant/takeaway on the sea front which was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful property in a lovely location.
Baljean is a lovely property to stay in and is in a beautiful location. It is very well equipped and was exceptionally clean. The condition was excellent. We had an issue with the washing machine while we were there and island escapes responded promptly even offering to pay for any laundry we needed doing while it was fixed. The only thing that could improve the property is more comfortable lounge furniture. The chairs and sofa really aren’t nice to spend a whole evening sat on.

Short Break
The cottage 'Baljean' was excellent although it took a while for the under floor heating to get up to comfortable. Probably not normally an issue but the weather was poor and a bit chilly. We knew there was a log burner so had taken some logs with us. It quickly warmed the room and was very cosy. Would recommend that to anyone if going during the winter months.

Brilliant stay in a stunning holiday home with an incredible view!
We have loved our stay at Baljean! It has the wow factor with the way the home is furnished. It’s really top class. Good quality and stylish, a really comfortable stay too. This place would be brilliant anywhere but when you add in the stunning view of port Erin it makes it really special. This can be seen from the windows in the main bedroom, living room and even the shower and a nice little bench outside is a good shop to soak it in. Also really great communication. We asked 2 questions on the day of arrival. First for a slightly earlier check in if possible and secondly for the whereabouts of the Wi-Fi, both answered really quickly via email which was impressive again. We don't want to leave and would Highly recommend staying here. We will definitely return to for future trips.

Super House in a great location
Baljean is in a fantastic location both for views over the harbour and for access to the village centre shops and public transport. Generally the house is well appointed with everything you will need for a relaxing holiday, The kitchen is well equiped and even has a dish washer which was very welcome, The Shower room has underfloor heating and the shower (overhead Rain and handheld) is spacious with excellent pressure. Bedrooms are well decorated and beds very comfortable, Bedside lights and USB sockets (throughout the house) are useful. The lounge posed a couple of issues, nothing serious but the furniture leaves a little to be desired, the sofa is good but armchairs are not so comfortable for long periods. The dining table folds out and is just about ok, the dining chairs provided are too low for the table and required cushions, there are other folding chairs that are secreted within the table cabinet but these are somewhat flimsy and I didnt trust them. The log burner was good once we got it going, which took quite an effort with the logs provided refusing to stay lit, we eventually got it going with a lot of fire lighters. There is a good selection of guide books, novels and magazines, Smart speaker Radio TV with freeview box all worked as they should. Parking outside the house is OK, easy to get in for unloading etc but difficult to get out again as it is not possible to turn round so reversing out around a bend can be tricky without someone to watch the road for you.The locals tend to reverse in. IoM Public Transport is excellent, we had 5 day 'Go explore' catrds which were excellent value for money, The chip shop opposite the station is truly fantastic. Overall, a good house that can be recommended for a nice stay in Port Erin, I have provided feedback to Island escapes with regard to minor maintenance and improvements that would make Baljean a truly super Cottage. The groceries found in the fridge (Milk, butter, cheese, bread) were a very nice touch.

Fabulous cottage in Beautiful Port Erin
This cottage is a gem! Our second visit was amazing and only frustrated that we could not get in again for next year due to its popularity. Would definitely recommend for anyone who loves the IOM and a grandstand view for the best sunsets.

One of the best cottages we have stayed at!
What a view overlooking Port Erin Beach and harbour. We would sit and watch all the activities on the shore below. The cottage was so well prepared for our visit. It was immaculate. It was close to all amenities and it was well worth paying a wee bit extra to be able to charge out EV. All in all this was one of our favourite cottages and we have stayed in many across the UK and Ireland.

Lovely property in an excellent location
Lovely cottage located less than 2 minutes from Port Erin beach with excellent views of the beautiful harbour and daily sunsets :) Baljean is stylishly finished and well maintained. The outside electric sockets (located in the walk way at the side of the property) proved very helpful for re-charging our plug-in hybrid car. Also loved 'Wellington', the dog that guards the outside rear of the property; you'll know what I mean when you see him ;) [We had a small problem with the dishwasher, but this was resolved very prompty by Island Escapes.] Would definitely recommend this property and Port Erin - hope to be back soon :)

Nicely renewed attractive property with stunning views over the bay at Port Erin. Port Erin is one of the more attractive destinations on the Isle of Man and Baljean is a stunning location.

A Return Trip to a Favourite Manx Holiday Cottage
The position of Baljean is quite special, overlooking Port Erin Bay, which is why we have spent quite a few holidays there over the years. However the recent modern refurbishment has added to the appeal, giving it a real seaside holiday feel. The kitchen and upstairs rooms are very well appointed with good facilities. The decent sized sitting/dining room, with excellent views would probably benefit from a more substantial table and chairs and the TV relocated for more all round relaxed viewing, especially when there are more than 2 guests. We will however certainly continue to use this ideally situated cottage which ticks all the boxes for our requirements.

A relaxing location.
A lovely cottage with outstanding views out to sea and the whole of Port Erin Bay. Very convenient for shops, buses, trains and many walking opportunities. Parking location may pose a problem for some due to there being no turning areas and therefore having to reverse in or out of the road. The cottage is very well equipped, especially the kitchen. Other rooms, such as the second bedroom, would benefit from a mirror near a power point and maybe a small shelf as space is limited. Milk, butter, cheese, bread and a small selection of biscuits, tea and coffee were gratefully appreciated. A most enjoyable stay.
