The Humblebee Hive is hidden in the best kept local secret; a small, award-winning community located on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Midway between Sequim and Port Angeles, the home is conveniently situated only minutes away from the numerous activities and attractions that both towns have to offer. Enjoy the water views of the Strait and the lights of Victoria, B.C., hike the private trail to the beach, enjoy the numerous sightings of wildlife, or just relax in this cozy, comfortable, quiet and well appointed home.
You will share our private beach trail with our other guests at Hunters' Gate Homes. It is a gated, five minute hike with some large steps which are not easily navigated by small children or inexperienced hikers. Once down to the bottom you will be rewarded with a beautiful beach where the fresh creek water forms a lagoon that spills out into the salt water Strait of Juan de Fuca. You can walk and beach comb to the Dungeness Spit or head in a westerly direction toward Port Angeles.
The quaint little neighborhood store, Agnew Grocery & Feed, is only a five minute drive away, offering fresh local produce and a large selection of wine and other refreshments besides the basic grocery items. Sunny Farms Country Store is only ten minutes away where you'll find a larger variety of items including a deli and a fresh fish and meat market.
There are four restaurants all within a ten minute drive which are all highly recommended. If you want to venture further away, both Sequim and Port Angeles each only a twenty minute drive offer many more choices for shopping and dining.
The start of the road up to Hurricane Ridge and the Olympic National Park is a short twenty minute drive. You can plan longer day trips to the Pacific Ocean and the Hoh Rainforest and return after your adventure to our quiet, restful, tranquil treasure, the Humblebee Hive.
