"I had a sudden change in travel plans and needed to book a hotel room during a layover in Bogota. I did so, but I messed up that booking and had to look again at the airport in Popayan after I landed late in the morning. Thanks to the very helpful staff at Hotel Boutique Confort Suites, I was in a perfect room by 1PM. "We stayed at the monastery on two occasions. The room we had on our first stay had a stained and dirty carpet. We asked for it to be vacuumed and they did that, but they would be far better off, tearing up the carpet to expose the wood underneath, which I expect is beautiful. On our second stay the room was clean and had none of those issues. It’s a beautiful place with very cool old furniture. The place has lots of character and is steeped in history. It felt very special to stay there."
